The villa is located within the quiet residential area of Atalaia overlooking Boavista Golf Course and is therefore ideal for both family holidays and golfing enthusiasts. It is only a 5 minute drive to the historic market town of Lagos which offers a wealth of restaurants, bars cafes, shops, local fish market and marina.
This brand new villa is large and spacious and is furnished to an extremely high standard throughout with fully equipped kitchen. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom and ample wardrobe space. There is a built-in barbeque and sink on the terrace and a large 8 seater garden table and chairs. There are six high quality sunbeds in the garden, plus two more sunbeds on the large secluded sun terrace off the two upstairs bedrooms. There is also a large private hot tub in the garden where you can enjoy a glass of wine on a warm evening.
The nearest beach is about five minutes away at either Praia da Luz or Praia Porte de Mos. Meia Praia which is approximately 2 miles long is 10 minutes away.

The Algarve / West Algarve region
The Algarve is Portugal's most popular tourist region with its beautiful beaches and hidden coves. The name Algarve is a derivative of "al-gharb" an Arab word meaning "land beyond", named by the Moors after they conquered the Iberian Peninsula in 711.
Much of the Algarve is relatively unspoiled, with its long sandy beaches. The far west coast is more rugged with steep tracks down to the beaches, limestone cliffs and weird, erosion formed caves and rock formations springing picturesquely out of the water.. The climate is ideal for year-round holidays, the winter is very warm during the day, but can become rather chilly at night; January/February can sometimes be quite wet. The summer is very hot, however, there is often a breeze that makes the heat more bearable.
Lagos / Atalaia area
Lagos was an important Roman settlement called "Lacobriga" and a variety of ancient Roman ruins remain including the old slave market. In the fifteenth century Henry the Navigator made Lagos into a ship building centre and continuing the maritime tradition, there is now a modern and well equipped marina.
Strolling along the dragon tooth paving through the maze of winding tiny backstreets you will find an abundance of restaurants and bars, antique shops and local art shops. The restaurants offer a variety of fish and seafood dishes, traditional Portuguese dishes such as Cataplana (a dish of mixed seafood steamed with chicken, pork, bacon and herbs) and frango piri-piri (grilled chicken in a very spicy sauce) should not be missed.
Lagos has 5 different beaches, the largest being Meia Praia, a 5 kilometer stretch of golden sand, where there are watersport facilities available and sun-beds and sunshades for hire. Along the front in Lagos there are plenty of boat trips available that take you around the rock formations and grottoes or out to sea to watch the dolphins in their natural environment.
How to get there
Fly to Faro airport and then I would recommend hiring a car. It will take approximately 45 minutes from Faro airport, most of the journey is along the A22 motorway and the villa is approximately a five minute drive off the A22.
