Home description
The property is designed with a contemporary feel and provides an excellent standard of accommodation. Both lounge and bedrooms offer full airconditioning and benefit from a heating cycle during the winter months. It is on the ground floor making it ideal for families. There is a spacious terrace leading onto the communal garden area. There is a fabulous 18m x 18m swimming pool and a small children's pool.
There are many shops, banks, restaurants and bars in Lagos town. The nearest supermarket is a 5min walk from the apartment. This is very well stocked and has a newsagent, florist, dry cleaners and bakery.

The Algarve region
This apartment is located in the beautiful town of Lagos in the Western Algarve. The sophisticated and cosmopolitan marina is a magnet for visitors with its colourful waterfront boasting excellent restaurants, lively bars and stylish shops. From the marina it is easy to reach the beach on foot. Alternatively, a 5 minute walk across the marina footbridge will bring you to Lagos town itself.
The fabulous mountains of Serra de Monchique are just a 40 minute drive away. You can enjoy a meal whilst admiring the breathtaking views.
A 15min walk brings you to the beautiful Meia Praia beach. The lively city of Lagos with all it has to offer is also a 15 minute walk away. On the narrow cobbled streets you will find many cafes and restaurants catering for all tastes. With its atmosphere and quiet charm Lagos is one of the most appealing locations on the Algarve. Once the sun goes down the old town comes alive. You will find open-air stalls, street entertainers and artists displaying their work. Lively bars, jazz clubs and nightclubs stay open until late. There are also concerts, art exhibitions and a good cinema. With all of this on your doorstep you don't necessarily have to hire a car!
Lagos / Marina area
On the marina (5min walk) there are a number of places to book boat trips to see the dolphins or to take part in deep-sea fishing. You can also charter a boat and cruise around the beautiful bays of the western Algarve!
There are 2 excellent water parks which are a 40 minute drive away, or there is a daily bus a few minutes from the apartment, taking you to the Park and bringin you home at the end of the day. Zoo marine is also a popular day out with families. It is an oceanographic facility with all kinds of amusements, bars, shops, restaurants, swimming pools and you can also book to swim with the dolphins!
As previously mentioned, bookings can be made to hire boats for various types day trips on the marina. Other nearby attractions are:

How to get there
Lagos is a 50 minute drive from Faro Airport. It is a 2 hour drive from Lisbon. There are many budget airlines such as easyjet and Jet2 flying to Faro from all of the main UK airports. Charter airlines and scheduled airlines such as Monarch also fly regularly.
Car hire is available at Faro Airport. We use 'Lagorent' as we find them efficient and competitively priced and they are based at the airport so there is no minibus ride to collect your car.

Further details indoors: The apartment has two bedrooms, one en-suite. It has a terrace off the kitchen which is ideal for drying laundry. The main terrace overlooks the gardens and pool area. This terrace has a large table with six chairs for al fresco dining. During the summer months the sun is on the main terrace in the morning and lasts until lunchtime. We found this perfect because we were able enjoy lunch in the shade and come out of the strong midday sun!
Further details outdoors: There are sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool area and there is also a number of small tables and chairs on a decked area.
There is a grassed area for children to play safely and the children's pool is ideal for supervised toddlers. It is very relaxing and friendly around the pool area and children can always find somebody to play with!
During a short walk towards the marina there is a small children's park, bumper cars and small boats for children to use (cost is 1 euro per ride)
Conditions
To book our apartment please email with your preferred dates and we shall get straight back to you. During the Summer weeks we prefer Tuesday-Tuesday bookings.
A 20% non-returnable deposit is required upon booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before departure.
A deposit of £130 is also requested but this will be returned within 7 days of your departure, once our agent confirms all is in order at the Apartment.
