The Algarve region
For the adventuresome, the west coast of Portugal is just an hour away, famous for its surfing and rugged scenery as much of the land to the West is owned and managed by the National Park. Of course a visit to Cape St. Vincent, the furthermost western point of Portugal is a must with its tall cliffs and tumultous seas between the historic fort of Sagres and the Cape.
This wonderful central location allows easy access to the algarve, with beautiful beaches, historic towns and forts of Praia de Luz, Monchique, Silves, Portimao all within a 30 minute drive.
Lagos / Meia Praia area
Lagos is one of the most attractive cities in the Algarve where you can wander the narrow cobbled streets of the old quarter at your leisure and enjoy a drink or leisurely lunch or dinner at one of the many street cafes. There is a plentiful amount of nightlife comprising bars, nightclubs and restaurants. To the west of the city you will find the beaches of Praia D'Ana and Porto Do Mos with interesting rock formations and excellent snorkelling. The Lagos Marina offers numerous cruises and boat trips, including dolphin watching.
The 2 mile long, sandy beach of Meia Praia is a 10 minute walk away, with its beach cafes. The Marina, with its cafes, restaurants and facilities for cruises, boat trips, etc is only a 10 minute drive.
The excellent golf courses of Palmares (5 mins) with it's sea views and Boa Vista (10 mins) are just a short drive from Casa Aguias, with the courses at Parque de Foresta and Pestana (Gramacho/La Pinta) just 30 mins away.
How to get there
Faro is 50 mins away by car but there is cheap and easy train service from Faro to Lagos, the villa would be just a short taxi from the station.
Multiple airlines serve Faro airport including : Monarch, Bmibaby, Flybe, Easy Jet and BA.

Further details indoors: Bedrooms: The villa is an upside down design with bedrooms on the ground floor. Bedroom 1 with double bed and en suite, Bedroom 2 with double bed. Bedroom 3 with 2 single beds. All have fitted wardrobes.
Bathrooms: Bedroom 1 has en-suite with bath, bidet, shower and twin handbasins.Bedrooms 2 and 3 share fully fitted family bathroom.
Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen includes microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and all cutlery and crockery.
Living Rooms: Spacious living room on first floor overlooking pool and with a large terrace that offers beautiful views across the Monchique hills. Many comfortable sofas and chairs, satellite TV/DVD. Access to roof terrace offering views of the sea and countryside.
Other: On ground floor and opposite the kitchen is a dining room that seats 8. Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Maid service provided twice a week. All bed linen, bathroom towels and pool towels provided. Linen change once a week (not including pool towels).
Further details outdoors: The villa of Casa Agiuas offers numerous spacious terraces surrounding the large pool (10m x 5m) and plenty of space to enjoy those summer barbecues. The gardens and terraces have numerous sun loungers, chairs and tables offering various locations to sunbathe and dine throughout the day and evening.
The pool is suitable for children as it has a shallow end and plenty of room for safe play.
The grounds are enclosed by a wall with double gates and parking for at least 2/3 cars.
