Absolutely perfect for families looking for a mix of country, beach and town, this apartment is positioned in a prime position in the beautiful condominium of Vale da Ribeira. Finished in 2007, Vale da Ribeira is situated on an old farm amongst some 75 acres of land featuring olive, orange and almond trees extending between hills and valleys. The apartment is positioned so that there is a clear view across the countryside and over the central pool.
Vale da Ribeira itself has a large communal pool and poolside shower, with plenty of surround for you to sit on the sun loungers all day. A small waterfall at one end feeds down into a children's paddling pool, and a small bricked fountain is fed by a larger fountain located further into the condominium - this site is very much built with children and families in mind.
Ideal for a golfing holiday Alto, Palmares and Penina are all within 10-15 minutes.

The Algarve region
The Western Algarve enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with hot dry summers and mild wet winters. In the summer, the heat is moderated by cooling north westerly Atlantic breezes.
Integrated within a stunning rural landscape, but with quick and easy access, Vale da Ribeira is 12 kilometres from the fishing port of Portimao, and seven from the City of Lagos. Lovers of golf will find this the ideal place to practice their sport, as Vale da Ribeira is situated within minutes of championship courses, some of the best in the Algarve, including Penina, Palmares and Boavista.
The famous 5km long 'Meia Praia' beach that stretches from Lagos to the Alvor estuary is just a few minutes drive.
Lagos / Odiaxere area
Long, sunny summers and mild winters make the area one of Europe’s premier golf destinations. There are more than twenty courses within an hour’s drive, including some of the top championship courses in Europe including Alto, Penina, Palmares, and Boavista.
Lagos is one of the Algarve's most attractive and historic towns and is a thriving resort, its main attraction being its proximity to some of the best beaches on the Algarve coast, including the famous 5km-long ‘Meia Praia’ beach that stretches from Lagos to the Alvor estuary. Lagos Marina has the best facilities of any Portuguese marina. You can also rent dinghies, wind surfers, or go water-skiing from the beaches at Praia da Luz and Meia Praia. For surfers, the rugged west coast beaches, with their long Atlantic rollers, are an irresistible target.
Alvor is a former fishing village with a characterful riverfront harbour. Portimao is an ideal for shopping, or for taking a boat trip up the coast. Praia da Rocha (that adjoins Portimao) was one of the first tourist developments in the Algarve and remains one of the region's most visited resorts.
For the truly adventurous, there are opportunities for parasailing, paragliding and even learning to fly microlight aircraft. Scuba divers can explore caves and wrecks in the nearby coastal waters, and discover an abundance of sea life.
How to get there
Faro airport is approximately 40-45 minutes drive from the property and airlines such as Monarch, EasyJet, BA and TAP Portugal provide flights.
We have a organised an all inclusive discounted price with our recommended car hire company LagoRent who are based in Lagos. LagoRent have a small kiosk at the airport where you will sign all the necessary documents, etc, on your first visit - for any future visit you will be told the plate of your car and where it is found, meaning you have the privilege of walking off the plane and into the car.....as a frequent flyer I cannot recommend this more!
Directions from the airport to the house are simple - follow the A22 toward Lagos and take the exit at Junction 3. Cross the first roundabout and at the second turn right (signposted Odiaxere). On the EN125 take the first right toward Arao and the horse riding facilities. Along this road take the first right and continue into Vale da Ribeira.

You will be met by our representative who will be a contact for you throughout your stay. He will be able to show you the mechanics of the apartment and help answer any questions you have. For very late arrivals there is a key safe system in place and you will be given the code - our representative will then contact you in the morning to arrange a time to come and see you.
A welcome pack of basic provisions can be provided for your arrival and is payable directly to our representative - the cost is roughly 25 - 30 euros.
High chairs and cot beds can be provided is charged at 25 euros per week. This is also payable directly to our representative.
We have brokered a deal with a car hire rental company who are based in Lagos and can meet you at the airport. For more details please contact us.
Conditions
25% of the full rental amount is due immediately in order to secure the booking. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before the start of the booking. At this time a £200 deposit covering any breakages or damages is also due - this amount is refundable and returned within 28 days of your return after we have received the full check out report from our representative.
Even though we receive a check out report we do ask that renters please let us or our representative know of any breakages that may happen during your stay.
