Villa Por do Sol is a brand new deluxe 4 bedroom villa, fully air-conditioned with a large private heated pool. The villa comprises of a lovely entrance hall, leading off from this is a cloakroom. Double doors lead from the hall into the living area with a central fireplace feature, TV, DVD and satellite television.
There's plenty of seating for all the family on the luxury leather suite. The dining table also has seating for 8 people, there are patio doors leading out to the terrace which leads down to the pool. The terrace on this level is gated with a lockable gate for child safety, stopping children from getting down the outside stairs to the pool. Also on this level you have a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and patio doors out to the terrace with garden views. The kitchen also located on the ground level is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and all modern appliances; the kitchen patio doors lead you out to the terrace with outdoor dining furniture and a built in BBQ for some lovely al fresco dining.
Upstairs there are 2 further bedroom suites. The master bedroom has a double bed and full bathroom with patio doors out to a large terrace with great views over towards the countryside; the second bedroom upstairs is a twin room also with a full bathroom and patio doors out to the terrace with seating areas.
The lower ground level of this villa is where you will find the 4th bedroom a twin room which is best suited for children or teenagers as its located in the same area as the games room with table tennis, table football, Xbox and a few pieces of gym equipment (cross trainer and a rowing machine) there is also a full bathroom down here.
The pool terrace is equipped with plenty of sunloungers around the large heated swimming pool and a Basketball net.
The villa is situated on the hill above the Meia Praia, the Marina which is only a few minutes drive away offers a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants, a short walk over the footbridge from the Marina and you are in the centre of the historic town of Lagos with its cobbled sidewalks and colourful market square, offering a large variety of restaurants, bars, café, shopping and markets.
The golden sandy beach of Meia Praia is also under a 5-minute drive, with a variety of water sports activities available. Palmares, Boa Vista and Penina Golf Courses are a 5 to 15 minute drive away. For the children there are a variety of water parks and theme parks within a 30-minute drive

The Algarve region
The Algarve is well known for its golf courses and also for the many attractive fishing villages - and hence, of course, for the seafood, which is delicious. The Atlantic location means although very hot in June, July and August, the heat is not overpowering. The climate remains warm in Spring and Autumn, and over winter you get warm days, but the nights are noticably cooler.
Lagos / Meia Praia area
Lagos is a historic town, and the narrow streets and city walls are well worth exploring along with a variety of shops and stalls, and a small museum. If you're after action, you can learn to wind and kite surf, go diving or enjoy one of the dolphin watching trips available. Lagos is a perfect base for blending the needs of the family with those of the golf enthusiast!
How to get there
From the UK most low cost airlines fly from the majority of regional and london airports. Flight times from the UK are approximately 2.30Hrs and then the transfer time to the villa by car , taxi, rail or pre arranged transfer is around 45 minutes. Car hire is available through numerous companies both from Faro Airport or in the resort of Lagos. Personal recommendation is Europcar who offer discounts via easyjet and frequent traveller easy booking and pick up options.

Pool heating and A/C included in the above prices for June to September, if you require pool heating between October and May there is a further £100 per week. Extra person over 2 years is an extra £50 per week on a z-bed or sofa bed, under 2yrs £20 per week including a cot, Highchair £10 per week. Sunday arrival £40.00 per week.
