Apartment at Quinta Sao Roque, overlooking Meia Praia Beach and views from the main balcony to the Monchique mountains. Quinta de Sao Roque is a small complex with two swimming pools, one for children, on the edge of Lagos. Furnished by the owners to the highest specifications, it is a luxury apartment, visitors comments use quotes like ' better than home' and 'the best we have ever stayed in', it offers wonderful sea views in a relaxed environment ideal for both families, golfers and people that just want to get away from it all.
Although on the edge of town, the local farmer stills drives his flock to graze on the land in front of the apartment. The jacuzzi has proved a popular feature with many visitors, it is situated on the balcony overlooking the sea.

The Algarve / West Algarve region
The Algarve is the southernmost region of Portugal and a popular holiday destination for people of all ages - offering a range of activties and experiences to attract every type of holiday maker. The Old town of Lagos is within easy reach of the rugged west coast of Portugal and also the Monchique Mountains, together with the many small fishing village of the Western Algarve.
Europe's answer to California as far as weather is concerned, with three hundred days of sunshine a year. The long, sunny winter days makes the region very popular with golfers. During summer the temperature is lovely and hot, perfect for realxing on the beach or splashing around in the pool!
There are many places of interest in the Algarve including a variety of children's theme parks and zoos, to make an excellent family holiday.
Lagos / Meia Praia area
The lively town of Lagos is situated close to the complex and has many excellent restaurants and a vibrant nightlife, the new Marina also boasts several bars an restaurants and being close to that we find it extremely convenient. A large supermarket is within a five-minute drive of the apartment.
Lagos itself is within easy reach of the rugged western coast of the Algarve and the historic hillside town of Monchique. Also available are the facilities of Parque de Floresta, including Tennis, Golf, Spa, Swimming Pool and Horse Riding, at a reduced rate for residents. The beach of Meia Praia is one of the longest in the Algarve and offers activities such as boat trips and windsurfing. For families, a large Water Park is a 20 minute drive away.
The apartment is within walking distance of the sandy Meia Praia beach and is close to the 18-hole Palmares Golf course. There are also six other golf courses within a 30 minute radius, including the international standard Penina course.
How to get there
The nearest airport to the apartment is Faro airport. Many budget airlines serve this airport from most UK / European airports. Flight time from the UK to Faro airport is around 2 hours and 45 minutes.
A whole host of car hire companies are located in the airport arrivals hall and they offer an excellent range of vehicles to suit every budget. Taxis can also be caught from just outside the airport terminal and the is also a bus station providing links to many local areas.

This second floor apartment,served also by a lift, has three balconies the two smaller ones catching the evening sun and the main balcony has a table and 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers.
Fully equipped kitchen, large lounge/ dining room which is fully equipped with satellite TV and Hi-Fi and also a wood burning fire for winter use,the apartment is fully air-conditioned. The main bedroom has a large double bed and is en suite, it faces the main balcony and the sea. The other two bedrooms each have two single beds, there is plentiful storage in all rooms.The kitchen is fully equipped, it also has a serving hatch through to the eating area.
Further details outdoors: The apartment is on a small complex which has two swimming pools including one for children and formal gardens.
The lounge, which opens onto a balcony, is large and comfortable. It has an eating area for six people, there is also a table and chair for eating on the balcony. Also on the balcony is a jacuzzi and a barbecue. All bedrooms have balconies, are a good size, include air-conditioning and plenty of storage.

"First class apartment in a first class location, and under an hour away by motorway (toll free!) from Faro airport. The apartment benefits from 24 hour site service and is located within easy walking distance from one of the finest beaches on the Algarve, within a few minutes drive from the historic old town of Lagos and a "short iron" away from Palmeiras Golf Club. Indeed there are numerous golf courses within easy reach. There are two pools, one for adults and the other for children. It is luxurously appointed and the balconies provide day long sun for those who want to put their feet up. The main balcony also has the added luxury of a jacuzzi and BBQ and provides for magnificent views over Meia Praia beach and to the sea. The picturesque and unspoilt West Coast with its secluded beaches is a surfers' paradise and is within easy reach. The local restaurants are amongst the best for miles around.
