Villa | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
This pretty villa has a south facing pool, surrounded by non-slip tiles, in a secluded, walled and gated garden with lovely palm trees.
Wide terraces beneath the villa's overhangs offer welcome shade and a perfect spot for al fresco dining.
Inside, the villa is bright and comfortable and designed to remain cool in the summer without the need for air conditioning - something our visitors appreciate and remark upon. For your enjoyment, you will find: a flat screened television; DVD player; CD player; Wi-Fi; books; games and a few toys for children.
The kitchen is fully equipped and includes: dishwasher; gas hob and electric fan oven; fridge freezer; microwave; coffee maker; smoothie maker; washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Travel light because we provide beach towels, hair dryer, travel cots and high chair.
Downstairs accommodation includes two bedrooms - one double and one twin - with wall to wardrobes and a safe. The family bathroom has a large bath, lavatory, vanity wash basin and a spacious shower.
Casa Santolina is disabled friendly with wide doorways and, in the family bathroom, discreet handrails and a fold down seat in the shower, which is level for wheelchair access.
Upstairs, you will find two twin bedded rooms, one with an en suite bathroom and one with an en suite shower room, and both have French doors leading to a large terrace with fabulous sea views.
At the top of the villa is a small room with 360 degree views.
Casa Santolina sits on a corner plot in a quiet development of lovely houses. Not much traffic passes because it is off the main road and on a one way system, so you can relax and enjoy your holiday.
Many of our visitors choose not to hire a car for their entire holiday because they enjoy the 5 minute walk to the beach and the beachside restaurants, or the 20 minute walk into Lagos, where there is an abundant choice of excellent restaurants and quaint little shops. There are, however, one or two restaurants within walking distance of the villa and a very good local convenience store.
Taxis are plentiful and cheap and a regular bus service stops along the main road. There is a road train which is fun for children and goes all the way down to the beach.
Maid service and linen change is once a week as standard.
Check in is from 3pm and departure by 10am, so that the maids can thoroughly clean the villa.
A 25% non-refundable booking deposit is required. The full balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival, along with a £300 security deposit, which will be refunded after your stay, subject to no damage and the villa left in a tidy state, so that only regular maid cleaning is needed.

The Algarve region
The medieval walled town of Lagos, which sits on a hillside overlooking the harbour and impressive new Marina, is bustling with activity. There is an abundance of excellent restaurants, bars and cafes to suit all tastes and, if you wander the winding cobbled streets, you will discover a variety of delightful little shops.
Boating trips and water sports can be arranged at the Marina. Dolphin watching and trips into the caves are popular.
Although quaint and historic, Lagos has all the facilities of the modern age such as internet cafes, modern banks and cash machines.
Porto de Mos is a delightful sandy beach, perfect for swimming or paddling, or resting on hired sun loungers under shade. There are two very good restaurants built right on the beach, offering spectacular views while you dine or snack on local produce.
If you are adventurous and like walking, then walk along the headland form Porto de Mos to Luz. The views are breathtaking and will not disappoint.
There is a very good local mini market within close walking distance from the villa and a few restaurants nearby. However, Lagos is a 20 minute walk away along wide pavements and taxis are numerous and cheap. There is a regular bus service from the main road and a road train which takes you from Lagos to Porto de Mos beach and is fun for children.
Many of our visitors choose not to hire a car but it would be a pity not to explore the surround countryside and beaches for a least part of your holiday. Budget car hire is a close walk away and Luz car hire is in Lagos.
