Casa Onda Azul is situated in the beautiful fishing village of Burgau. The beach is only a short 5 minute walk through the cobbled streets of the village. Burgau has many excellent restaurants and bars and is only 5-10 minutes away from the larger resorts of Praia da Luz and Lagos. There is also an excellent and award winning beach bar.
There are local shops and amenities in the village and a daily visiting fruit and vegetable market. Onda Azul is situated within a development which includes a clubhouse, swimming pool, children's pool, gymnasium, sauna and jacuzzi.
Leading from the lounge is a spacious balcony with stunning sea views and there is also a private sun terrace with views of Burgau and the Atlantic Ocean.
There is an excellent daily bus service from Burgau to the nearby towns of Praia Da Luz and Lagos. The new algarve autodrome opens early 2009, it is situated approx 15 mins drive from Burgau just north of Lagos( junction 3 off A22). Please ask us for more information.

The Algarve / West Algarve region
Burgau is located on the edge of the Costa Vincentina national park with many unspoilt and beautiful beaches. Burgau is ideal for coastal walking particularly in the springtime when the fields and coastline are littered with wild flowers.
Portugal's climate is mild, with little rainfall and lots of sunny days, which is why Burgau is so popular for both outdoor sports enthusiasts and holidaymaker's all seeking long beautiful sunny days. The Atlantic Ocean is colder than the Mediterranean sea, but is very refreshing on a hot day, people can been seen swimming all year!
Lagos / Burgau area
5km to the west of Burgau is the picturesque fishing village of Salema with lovely beach restaurants. If surfing is your thing then try Boca do Rio, 3km west of Burgau on the inland coastal road. It is also great for snorkelling.
25 km west of Burgau are the two mighty headlands of Sagres and Cape St Vincent which are the most south westerly tips of Europe.The coastline running north from the lighthouse at Cape St Vincent is undeveloped and very beautiful.
10km to the east of Burgau is the cosmopolitan town of Lagos. It is possible to walk around the old city walls and meander through the quaint cobbled streets. Lagos has a cultural centre and has many fine restaurants and a lovely Marina. Approx 15Kms north of Lagos is the new alagarve racing circuit, completed in 2008 this purpose built track is sure to feature all the major race meetings all year round, to check forthcoming meetings please ask us for more info.

Further details indoors: Onda Azul is beautifully furnished with leather sofas and chestnut furniture. The kitchen benefits from granite worktops and a granite breakfast bar. Both bathrooms contain a bath and shower and extremely high specification fittings and heated floors. The bedrooms contain fitted wardrobes and access to the balcony through French windows. The apartment is fully air conditioned also reverse heating for winter use. There is an underground parking space with remote control access to the garage. Free use of the club facilities including swimming and the gymnasium for up to 4 people.
Further details outdoors: The large balcony contains an Italian designed dining table and 4 chairs. There is also an integrated barbecue. The sun terrace is situated above the apartment and has loungers and a dining table for 6.
