Situated just 3 minutes walk from Meia Praia beach with it's beautiful white sands this larger than average well furnished apartment, is ideal for couples and families seeking a sun and beach holiday.
There are stunning views over the bay from the lounge diner balconies and roof terrace and beautiful country views from the rear balcony which leads off bedroom one and the kitchen. You can eat 'al fresco' on these balconies which are well equipped with tables, chairs, sun- loungers and parasols. The apartment's own secluded private roof terrace is ideal for tanning the parts that otherwise.............................................
The open plan lounge diner is light and airy and very spacious. Satellite TV, books and games are provided for your enjoyment.
Both bedrooms have twin beds with bedroom one having large fitted wardrobes and patio windows leading onto the rear balcony and bedroom two is reached by internal white marble stairs which also lead to the roof terrace. Extra beds are available at an additional cost.
The separate kitchen is very well equipped and you could cook anything from a light snack to a dinner party for 8! But if eating in is not your style then there are several good restaurants close by or you could pop down to the Marina or into town for a selection to suit all tastes and budget.
As an alternative to the beach, Lagos town is within easy walking distance and has much to offer with it's history, shops and Marina. There is also a regular very inexpensive bus service into town and to the famous beach of Dona Ana.

The Algarve region
The Algarve has beautiful beaches, a good climate, a scenic coastline and many places of historical interest. The most south westerly point of mainland Europe is at Cape St Vincent, just 20k away and here you can see the rolling Atlantic surf crashing into the tall cliffs, the giant wind compass set up by Henri the Navigator, and sample the mouth watering fish and gamba dishes at the port of Sagres. Between Lagos and the Cape are some beautiful beaches and seaside villages such as Burgau , Praia da Luz and Salema. The westerly beachs are ideal for surfers. Inland are many mountain villages, the spa resort of Monchique and historic town of Silves. You can have days out on the train to Portimao or Vilamoura the cost being minimal
Lagos / Meia Praia area
The 5k long beach of Meia Praia with it's soft white sand is magic for children and beach lovers. There is so much space and is never crowded, even in the height of the season. The sea is great for surfers, sailors and all manner of watersports and the beach is guarded. Although there is no natural shade on this beach, we supply a parasol you can take to the beach or you can hire sun beds under shaded thatched umbrellas.You can also hire boards, pedalos etc from the beach cafes. The famous beach of Dona Anna with it's wonderful rock formations is visible from the apartment and can easily be reached by car or local bus or you could walk along Meia Praia beach and take the water taxi across the river. Lagos is a charming town which has not been swamped with tourism, maintaining it's culture, history and friendliness. There are lots of local shops to explore, a daily fish market serving a multitude of varieties of fish, a long mosaic promenade to stroll along whilst watching the activities in and out of the Marina, historical places of interest such as the fort at the entrance to the harbour, the slave market and beautiful churches and numerous restaurants to sample the local delicacies. From the Marina you can go dolphin watching, visit the fabulous grottos, deep sea fishing or bbq trips and snorkelling at one of the many hidden coves and beaches. Lagos is well served with supermarkets as well as markets selling very fresh local produce.
The nearest Golf Course is Palmares, just 5 minutes away, which is one of the oldest on the Algarve and is part links and part parkland. Just 10 minutes away is Boa Vista, a challenging course with beautiful views and the Championship Course Penina is also only 10 minutes away. Going westwards is Parque da Floresta which is only 20 minutes drive. Golf Packages are available.
Bowlers are also well catered for with rinks at Alvor and Parque da Floresta and at both places shoes and woods are available for hire and you are most welcomed to join in their roll-ups.
How to get there
Fly to Faro - Apartment Jannie is approximately 50 mins from the airport along the motorway. Most Budget airlines, such as Flybe, Thomson, Ryanair and EasyJet fly into Faro and often have very low fare offers-
Most of the known car rental agencies work from Faro, but it is worth trying local firms such as Lago Rent on vvww.lagorent.com or email on lagorent@sapo.pt quote Ron Collins as reference. Note all the extras are included in their prices so no extra suprises when you pick up the car. Also there is no queuing at the airport. They email you with the car details and you walk straight out of the airport across the road to the carpark and it is immediately ready for you. Lagorent also provides a service whereby you can hire a car to pick up at the airport, drive to the apartment and return to their office in Lagos the following day. The cost of this is €45. There is also a direct rail link from Faro to Lagos and the journey is about 1Hour 50minutes. The station in Lagos is about 1k from the apartment.
Taxis are available from the airport - cost about 80 Euros
Buses also run every hour from Faro into the centre of Lagos. Buses run from close by the apartment directly into Lagos

Further details indoors: This apartment is larger than usual for a holiday flat being 150 sq metres rather than the usual 90sq metres. The apartment is in a small block of 6 luxury apartments. There is private parking to the rear of the building. All patio windows have security shutters and all are double glazed.
Further details outdoors: The apartment, although very close to the beach, is situated in a quiet area of Lagos away from busy roads, noisy bars and nightclubs. A good night's sleep is almost guaranteed! Yet if you do want to live it up at night it is only a short walk away to those bars and nightclubs. You get the best of both worlds.
There is construction of a new 5 star hotel being carried out in the vicinity of the apartment. It has not at all been a problem to our clients who have been there this summer and the reports we have had is that they have not found it at all intrusive or spoiling their enjoyment of the apartment or their holiday. In fact the men have found it fascinating to watch!
A popular day's activities for our guests is to spend the morning on the beach, amble back to the apartment for lunch, then either to return to the beach for more swimming, maybe surfing, windsailing or using pedalos, or to go into Lagos for sightseeing or a bit of retail therapy before returning to the apartment for sundowner drinks on the balcony before dinner. Idyllic!

Changeover Day: Both changeover and arrival/ departure times are flexible Our agent will meet and greet you on arrival and will be available during your stay in case of any emergency.
Private car transport to and from the airport can be arranged at a price of 65 Euros or car hire can be arranged through LagoRent at a very competitive price. Please ask for details.
Welcome Pack: A basic free welcome pack will be available on your arrival so if you arrive late you can still get a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit or two.
Cleaning and linen change at the end of your holiday are included in the price as is a mid week towel change. If you book for two weeks then a mid term linen and towel change are included.
Whilst we have a parasol and beach mats that you are welcomed to take to the beach we do not provide beach towels and we ask that you also do not take the apartment towels to the beach.
Conditions
Deposit: A deposit of 25% is required to secure your booking and the balance of the cost is payable 6 weeks prior to your arrival date;
Security Payment: A security deposit of £150 is payable with balance and refundable within 14 days of return or if more convenient to you €200 is payable to our agent on arrival and this will be refundable on departure.
