Home description
This new fully equipped luxurious villa with its own pool and garden area is south facing and enjoys sun all day long. The complex is set overlooking the sea and national park and has beautifully landscaped gardens which has an adult and kids swimming pool, fully equipped gym, jacuzzi, sauna and a restaurant and bar.
If you'd rather relax at the villa it has a jacuzzi bath off the main bedroom. This bedroom has a lovely terrace and sea/village views to the east and national reserve to the west. The perfect place to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee and listen to the waves or relax in the evening with a glass of wine after a day at the beach or the golf course or some of the many other pursuits that can be enjoyed in the area.

The Algarve / West Algarve region
The beach in Burgau is only 4 minutes walk down the hill. The Beachbar is highly recommended for lunch or dinner and they rent sunloungers and shaded palms. There is another beach about 1 km out a country/national park road/ track which is lovely to walk to and gather the flowers and observe the wildlife as you go.
Boavista golf, the impressive 18 hold championship golf course, with spectacular scenery of views of Lagos bay and Monchique Mountains is only 3-4 km east. Parque da Floresta 18 hole championship golf course, with breathtaking views over the National park is only 4-5 km west. Palmares overlooks Lagos and Penina is only a short drive away (20 mins) to the east of Lagos. Many other golf courses thoughout the Central and Eastern Algarve are within an hours drive on the motorway.
Lagos / Burgau area
There are shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs in the village of Burgau. The Burgau sports centre has an indoor pool, tennis court, playground and other activities for adults and children. There is an ATM in the village and many others in Lagos.
There are more restaurants, shops, pharmacy etc in Luz. LUZDOC provide a 24 hour medical service in Luz with English speaking doctors who are highly qualified and efficient. There are excellent hospitals in Lagos. Many medicines that normally need prescriptions at home are over the counter in Portugal and most pharmacists speak very good English and are helpful. Lagos has hundreds of restaurants so you are spoilt for choice. If you are feeling very ambitious you can always go to the market in Lagos and pick out your own fresh fish for the grill. However, any of the 3 main supermarkets in Lagos provide a huge array of fish and meat. Most have English cheddar at the counter and delicious ham for a quick lunch.
How to get there
There are cheap flights from most UK airports to Faro airport. Check with your local airport for www.easyjet.com, www.ryanair.com and other budget airlines. The villa is just 55 mins drive from Faro mainly on the motorway A22 so it makes for an easy journey.
Airport transfers can be arranged but it is ideal to rent a car to enjoy the other lovely beaches and national parkland locally. There is both a bus and rail service from Faro to Lagos and then a local bus service that goes to Burgau.
We normally find www.luzcar.com the cheapest and most convenient for car rental.
It is possible to fly into Seville airport with a journey time of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Journey time from Lisbon airport is just over 3 hours.

Further details indoors: Bedroom 1 with 2 high quality orthopaedic almost double (4 foot) beds, bedside tables and fitted wardrobes. Doors open out onto south facing balcony with table and chairs ideal for that morning coffee or quiet glass of wine. Bedroom 2 has 2 x 4 foot beds of high quality, bedside table and fitted wardrobes. The bathroom off bedroom 1 has a jacuzzi bath with shower, wc, bidet and wash basin. The bathroom off bedroom 2 has walk in shower, wc and washbasin. Downstairs bathroom has walk in shower, wc and wash basin. All bathrooms have underfloor heating.
The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, grill/oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, coffee machine, coffee percolater, electric juicer, handheld blender, toaster, electric kettle, toasted sandwich maker and iron and ironing board.
Living/dining room with large comfortable corner sofa (with high quality sofa bed), beanbag, dining room table with seating up to 8, 42" plasma screen TV(satellite), DVD/CD player, bookcase and portable CD player/radio etc opening out to pool/garden area.
Small selection of CDs and DVDs provided. However, satellite TV is provided. A secure shaded porch area at entrance (north facing) provides another cool area to escape the sun although there are also shaded areas outside the livingroom and kitchen.
Bathroom and pool/beach towels and all bed linen are supplied. The house is cleaned and all linen and towels changed on a weekly basis. However, extra cleaning and towels are available at a small cost if required. Basic food parcel on arrival.
Cots -1 wooden (is only suitable for babies not able to stand) and the other travel cot (suitable for older infants/toddlers)highchair, car style potty for toddlers, security gate for stairs(please request), outdoor furniture (table and 4 chairs) for children and a selection of kids toys (including jigsaws, blocks, games, buckets and spades and books), all supplied free of charge.
Internet access will be available shortly.
Further details outdoors: A southfacing secure garden area with own private pool. A large traditional cobbled area surrounds the safety fenced pool making the area safe for children to enjoy without the worry of them falling in the pool. The pool is approximately 20 ft by 11 ft with shallow end approx 2/3ft deep and the other end approx 5 ft.
A teak table and 6 chairs are provided in addition to the 6 sunloungers. There are roofs extending from the house to provide shaded areas to eat outside the kitchen and livingroom areas.
The entrance is north facing and there is a large secure porch area which can be used to leave buggies, golf clubs etc.
