The Algarve / West Algarve region
Quinta de Sao Roque is just 3km from Lagos, sitting in the hills overlooking the Bay of Lagos and the golden sands of the Meia Praia beach, with the Monchique mountains to the North.
It is an ideal base from which to explore the historic Western Algarve with its numerous coastal and mountain villages and experience the Portuguese way of life.
There are many secluded beaches and coves in the area and the coast to the west of Lagos has become extremely popular with surfers.
Lagos is also an excellent base for golfers. Palmares is only 2km away and there are 7 other courses within a short drive. In addition, all guests can enjoy a 30% discount off green fees at Parque de Floresta (tee times can be arranged through on-site reception).
Lagos / Meia Praia area
The historic port of Lagos is just 3km away, with it's cobbled streets, modern marina, colourful open air and covered markets, lively bars and restaurants serving both local and international cuisine.
The 4.5km long Meia Praia beach is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment. There are several beach bars where you can sample freshly caught fish or simply relax with a drink.
How to get there
The journey from Faro airport takes approximately 1 hour by car. From Lisbon it is 2hrs 30 mins. There are numerous car hire companies at the airport and we can recommend some to you. Alternatively a taxi from the airport costs approximately 90 euros. Car hire can then be arranged through the on-site reception. If time is on your side, the journey to Lagos by train from Faro takes approximately 2 hours.
For those with more time, why not catch the night boat to Santander and take a leisurely drive through Spain or Portugal.

Further details indoors: Although the apartment can sleep 8 through use of the double sofa bed in the living room, we would recommend a maximum of 6 adults only.

Further details outdoors: The apartment is set within landscaped sub-tropical gardens with two separate communal swimming pools (heated between April and October), including one for younger children.
The apartment has a spacious balcony equipped with gas fired barbecue, dining tables (seats 8) and 2 sun loungers.
There is also the use of a communal rooftop terrace which overlooks the Bay of Lagos, where you can sunbathe or just relax and enjoy the sunsets.

For stays in excess of 7 days, a two hour clean and linen change is included. Additional cleaning can be arranged should this be required. All linen and towels (including pool towels) are provided.
The rental week is normally Sunday to Sunday, but other periods can sometimes be accommodated.
25% deposit required on booking. The balance due 8 weeks before departure. A security deposit of 250 euros will be required on arrival.
