The Algarve region
The Algarve is such a popular holiday destination as the all year round sunshine makes the area popular with holiday makers,golfers or simply just for weekend breaks, the tempurature is generally mild throughout the year. The Algarve itself boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in europe, many beaches are nestled between cliffs and coves, this is paradise to the sun worshippers or watersports fanatics, heading out towards Sagres is very popular with windsurfers. The town of Lagos close by is the third largest in the Algarve, it is also one of the oldest, it is still a fish port and has busy fish market. The towns cobbled streets are rich with street sided cafes and a excellent choice of restaurants.There are daily boat trips from the marina to discover the unspoilt wetern coastline, a trip into Monchiue mountains is also a nice trip. Overall The Western Alagrve has a multitude activities and interests for all types of holiday makers.
Lagos / Burgau area
There are numerous villages close by, there is Burgau, this is a small fishing village which is very much still very traditionally Algarvian. Luz is another quiet village which also has nice beach. the Town of Lagos is 10 minute drive away, plenty of bars and restaurants here. If you want to visit completely unspoily areas and beaches there are just that at Sagres and Vila Do Bispo.

Flights go direct from most major airports in the Uk to Faro International airport, discounted prices with Flymonarch.com,Easyjet, BMI Baby,jet2.com. Car hire available from Faro Airport or transfers available from the resort.The resort is approx. 1 hours direct drive down the A22 motorway, 10 mins from Junction 2 when leaving the motorway, close to the town of Lagos.

As far as Pdf (Parque Da Floresta)is Concerned, it was ideal for our familt with 2 young children.,quiet but plenty of facilities on resort. The restaurants are excellent and the property is only 5 minutes from what must be the best beach in the Algarve,We will certainly go back.
