Our four bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment is located in the beautiful setting of Lagos on the Algarve coast in Portugal. Sleeping up to 8 people, our modern apartment is ideal for groups or families looking for a relaxing holiday or a golfing trip. With several picturesque beaches within easy reach, 6 golf courses within 25 kilometres and easy motorway access, the apartment is ideally situated for all the Algarve has to offer. The property is situated on the west side of Lagos, with a sea view and is 10 minutes walk from Porto de Mos beach and 15 minutes walk to the Old Town.

The Algarve / West Algarve region
The Algarve is holiday heaven - sunshine, natural bays, dramatic cliffs and warm seas. Sagres is small and sweet, while Lagos is the good-looking carnival queen of the resorts. There are unspoilt islands in the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, fascinating old towns at Tavira and Silves (the former Moorish capital), and lovely wooded hills in the interior. The Algarve offers everything from a beach holiday to golf with spectacular scenery and plenty of history.
The weather? In a word, lovely. There's barely a winter - it's sun, sun, sun almost all year round, with the mercury sometimes nudging up above 30°C in summer.

Lagos is situated in the western Algarve and has all the ingredients for a wonderful holiday experience - great weather, plenty of attractions, a friendly atmosphere, a wide selection of restaurants and bars, excellent beaches and fantastic golf courses. Its easy-going atmosphere attracts visitors of all ages, all-year round. The town is approximately 50 minutes drive from Faro airport, and our apartment is just five minutes from the A22 motorway. This ancient port city is today one of the most popular holiday destinations on the Algarve, sited as it is within walking distance of some excellent beaches. The most splendid beach is Meia Praia to the east of town; the southern promontory features some sheltered cove beaches; while Praia de Dona Ana is picturesque and quoted to be the most photographed beach in the Algarve.
Besides an ongoing flea market that sprawls through the streets, Lagos boasts numerous fascinating shops and boutiques, especially in the pedestrianised old city. Eating out is part of the pleasure of a holiday on the Algarve, and Lagos offers the best of the best choices of establishments in which to indulge. The centre of Lagos comes alive in the evenings with buskers and street entertainers. The nightlife in Lagos can compete with any holiday resort in the Algarve, with several energetic dance clubs and character-filled bars strewn through the main part of town.
There is little need to do anything more to enjoy your holiday other than sprawl on the sandy beach with an occasional dip in the ocean, but those who need more activity can choose between dozens of pursuits like sailing, wind-surfing, fishing, para-sailing, microlight flights and scuba diving. Golf is a major attraction here, as it is throughout the Algarve, with the Palmares, Boavista and Alto courses nearby, offering a round with sea views. There is also the challenge of the Penina Championship Course, site of many a Portuguese Open.

How to get there
Fly into Faro with one of a wide variety of airlines including bmiBaby, EasyJet, Monarch and Thomson.
Car hire companies at Faro Airport include Alamo, Autojardim, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National, Rentauto and Sixt. Our apartment is 50 minutes from the airport along the new A22 motorway.
You can take a taxi from Faro airport to the train station about 5km away then take a train along the coast. Check timetables at www.cp.pt The journey to Lagos takes about 1� hours and costs around 10 Euros.
Buses operate from Faro to Lagos town centre - website www.eva-bus.com .

- Rates are negotiable for long term rentals (over four weeks) and smaller parties (1-3 people). - 25% deposit required within 14 days of initial contact. - £150 refundable security deposit required for rentals up to two weeks. Larger security deposit required for longer rentals. - Full balance due six weeks before the start of your stay. - 75% refund if canceled at least 6 weeks in advance. - 50% refund if canceled 4-6 weeks in advance. - 25% refund if canceled less than 4 weeks in advance.
