This apartment is extremely modern and furnished to a very high standard. It stands in an enviable position in Lagos, only 5 minutes walk to the gorgeous Praia Dona Ana and a 10 minute stroll to the centre of town. Iberlagos is a lovely complex surrounded by beautiful kept gardens and has gorgeous views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It has an olympic sized pool and a children’s pool for days lazing in the sun. The pool area has free use of sun lounger’s and a snack bar. Each room is bright and spacious and on the balcony you have a lovely area to sit and relax. The balcony has sun all day so you can sunbathe on the lounger’s or in the evening enjoy a glass of wine or a quiet meal overlooking the bay of Meia Praia.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

The Algarve is a wonderful place to visit with over 300 days of sunshine. It has many pretty beaches stretching from East to West. Lagos has the fabulous Praia Dona Ana, Ponte Piedede and the long five mile golden sandy beach of Meia Praia to name a few. Sun lounger’s and parasols can be hired daily and there are plently of quaint snack bars for light lunches and drinks. In July and August temperatures can reach in the 90's, so it is wonderful to take a refreshing dip in the cool clear sea. In the cooler months Feb, Mar and Oct, the temperatures can drop in the evenings, so it is advisable to take light sweaters or jumpers. If you intend to hire a car you can visit other beautiful towns such as Burgau, Vilamoura, or even take a visit further afield to the capital city Lisbon.

Lagos / Dona Ana area

The town of Lagos is rich in history and culture and has an exciting mix of the old and new Portugal, but at the same time still preserving its charm. There are many places of interest depicting Portugal's history of exploration with the statue of Henry the Navigator standing at the entrance to the historic square amongst the city walls and very close to the castle fortress which itself overlooks the bay of Meia Praia and the Atlantic Ocean. At the opposite end of town is the newly created Marina, with many bars, restaurants and home to some magnificent boats. You may like to take a boat trip yourself to go dolphin watching or visit the picturesque town of Sagres which can be arranged from the Marina.

There are many excellent 18-hole golf courses nearby, only a short drive from the apartment. For the less energetic explore the narrow cobbled streets and indulge in some retail therapy at the many quaint shops specialising in arts, crafts and ceramics or relax at one of the alfresco cafe's whilst contemplating a visit to the local saturday market.

Once the sun set's the town comes alive with an abundance of excellent and varied restaurants and lively bars to suit all tastes.

Had a wonderful time here! Weather was fabulous and so was the accommodation. Everything is within close reach, town is only 10min stroll away and the huge pool overlooks the beach with spectacular views.
