Alba Vilas is a new developement with beautiful landscaped gardens situated in the Meia Praia/Albardeira area of the historic town of Lagos. Parking is unallocated but always plentiful outside the apartment.
Entry to apartment via video entry system and remote released gate.
A shop selling essential items is available near the entrance to Alba Vilas, around 2 minutes walk away. The nearest supermarket is around 10 minutes walk or a 2 minute drive, where you will find everything required for your self catering holiday.
2 Sun loungers are provided for use on the terrace and 4 sun loungers are provided for use around the pool.
There are many top class golf courses within a short drive including Palmares (5 mins), Boa Vista (10 mins) and Parque da Floresta and Penina (20 mins). Vilamoura, with 5 further courses is only 35 mins drive away.

Saturday to Saturday stay required during July/August. Other dates may be flexible, depending on availability. On arrival day entry to the apartment is permitted after 4pm. Please vacate the apartment at the latest by 10am on the departure day.
A £100 deposit is required at the time of booking and then full payment must be received at least 6 weeks prior to departure.

The Lagos / Meia Praia area
Lagos is a major port and historically one of the region's most interesting cities. It has style, with its sleek boats, designer boutiques and paved promenades. Essentially now an important tourist town there are still many architectural signs of its ancient past. The walls of the town in the most part remain after sections were restored. Attached to the famous 17th Century "gold" church of Santo António there is a small museum of regional items, some of which are quite odd!
Fabulous beaches and coves, an historic town with great shopping in its quiet cobbled back streets combine to make the town one of the most sought after resorts on the coast. Excellent restaurants serving international cuisine, shopping, nightlife or quiet life, the choice is yours! White sandy beaches, crystal clear seas, friendly relaxed atmosphere, fresh fish in abundance and over 300 days of sunshine a year!
The location of the apartment is superb, just a few minutes walk to historic town of Lagos, its modern marina and the beautiful beach of Meia Praia. Other nearby beaches include Dona Ana and Praia da Luz. Several world class golf courses are a short drive away, including Palmares, Boavista and the challenging Parque da Floresta course.
The marina is just 5 minutes walk, with Lagos town a further 10 minutes. The town boasts numerous boutique shops, cafes and bars within its cobbled pedestrianised area.
There is plenty of local entertainment for the kids with ‘Slide and Splash’ activity park and 'Zoo Marine' approx 30 minutes drive.

Fly to Faro - Cheap flights to Faro are available from Easy Jet, Jet 2, Monarch, Thomson Fly etc. (Booking early can secure some really good deals).
On arrival you can travel to the apartment by car, taxi, or railway.
Car - All major car rental companies are represented at Faro Airport. Advance booking is advisable, speeding up transfer times and ensuring a car is available at busy periods. The journey takes approximately 60 minutes. Mainly on the motorway, directions can be e-mailed to you.
Taxi - Taxis cost between 75 and 90 euros each way. Check price with driver beforehand.
Train - The train from Faro to Lagos takes about 2 hours. You will need a taxi from the airport to Faro rail station, then a very short 2 minute taxi ride from Lagos station to the apartment.

Apartment is at the top of a short hill, so you would need to be fit if planning to walk to most places. We had a young child and didn't find pushing a buggy too much of a problem, kept us fit... more

Tthe apartment is fantastic very clean and has everything you need and more! Two large balconies so you get the sun all day. Very spacious with air-con, electric shutters keep it cool and secure. Perfect location, beach,marina and old town within easy walking distance. Pool area private and very well kept. Nights very quiet and with comfy beds no trouble sleeping! Hope to return next year.
