Our villa is situated just a few miles from Lagos town centre, a historic fishing village that has recently become a vibrant tourist town. Lagos itself is an exciting mix of old and new Portugal - with traditional cobbled streets, local markets and whitewashed buildings, with a magnificent modern new marina. Lagos is tasteful and chic, it has retained it's historic charm and tradition and has many excellent family run restaurants.
This villa is situated among a small development of luxury villas, and is ideally suited on the peaceful outskirts of Lagos while being just a few minutes from the town and beach. The property provides a very spacious living area, with 3 double bedrooms (2 with twin beds), 3 bathrooms, and a large lounge that extends onto a balcony that offers stunning views of local countryside. The villa has a large play area in the basement and a large private garden so is great for families.

The Algarve / West Algarve region
The Algarve is a favourite destination with holiday makers for its crystal clear waters, and clean safe beaches. The Western Coast is popular amongst surfers and there is golf in abundance. Perfect for water sports, sailing and fishing. There's tennis, horse-riding, bird watching and walking but it that all sounds a bit too much like hard work have a lazy day on the beach then head to one of the various bars and restaurants dotted along the coast to enjoy a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
Lagos / Meia Praia area
The historic town of Lagos with its narrow cobbled streets and modern marina, colourful open air and covered markets, lively bars and restaurants really has something for everyone. Take an excursion from the main harbour for dolphin watching or to explore the grottos. Marina de Lagos offers a touch of elegance and is also an important yachting centre.
Meia Praia beach has several beach bars and restaurants, sample local dishes or simply relax with a drink. There are two water parks in the region and a Zoo Marine. Take a drive to Monchique mountains for spectacular views not to be missed.

Several budget airlines service Faro airports from UK cities. Check service availability for the city nearest you. Major car hire companies (Hertz, Avis, Budget and more) offer service at the airports and in the city of Lagos.
Regular scheduled and charter flights to Faro Airport operate from Belfast, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow International, Glasgow Prestwick, Leeds Bradford, London Gatwick, London Heathrow , London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.
Airlines operating regular services to Faro include Air 2000, BMI Baby, Britannia Airways, EasyJet, Excel Airways, Monarch Airlines and MyTravel.
To reach Lagos you also can hire a taxi in Faro, the cost should be approximately € 80 but be sure to agree this with the taxi driver in advance ! Train and bus services are also available.
