Home description
Your own piece of heaven, unlike no other, the villa has the feeling of being one of a kind, a true oasis for the body and mind, an excellent place to relax from the stresses and strains of the workplace. More of a relaxed country house feel, this villa's mature garden, double ended roman swimming pool and orchard are completely secluded behind its own walls. Original features, like exposed beams, terracotta floor tiles and antique marble fireplace, have been retained while all the modern amenities have been added for your comfort. On the outskirts of Lagos, the view from the roof terrace is over Meia Praia and Palmares Golf. Getting around could not be easier whether to the beach, into town, or to the 4 nearby close golf courses as access is child's play from your own front gates to practically everywhere! This bewitching country house is for all seasons; enjoy your rose garden in the Spring & Summer and a cosy fire in Autumn & Winter. Squeeze your own oranges from the orchard for breakfast and relax with a glass of excellent wine at the end your day – pure pleasure!

The Algarve / West Algarve region
Lagos was founded by the Phoenicians and Carthaginians from 1364 to 350 B.C. The Romans occupied the area in the first two centuries A.D. and the Moors took the town in the eighth century and remained there until 1249. Prince Henry the Navigator funded the Voyages of Discovery from here and with the invention of the Caravel enabled explorers and merchants to reach the Far East, India and the Americas and open up trade and cultural links.
Lagos area
Lagos is the best liked of all the Algarve towns being lively it as well as laid back. You will be spoilt for choice with the excellent blue flag beaches close to the villa, starting with the magnificent 4km stretch of Meia Praia’s golden sand that edges the bay of Lagos. More spectacular are the beaches of Batata & Pinhoa west of the 17th century fortress at the mouth of the harbour. Praia Dona Ana & Ponta da Piedade have an extraordinary profusion of caves, tunnels, and grottoes, well worth taking a boat trip and viewing from the sea. Tucked round the corner from the lighthouse on the point is Porto do Mos another blue flag beach. Lagos Marina is bustling with the yachting fraternity just sit in the cafes on the quayside and watch life go by. The historic castle walls date from the 13 century and the beautiful "golden" church of Santo Antonio is a masterpiece of gilded carvings. There amazing choice of places to eat and drink in the old town not to mention the 4 large supermarkets to stock up of at home dining, all with plenty of parking.
