About the home

Villa da Blanca has three good sized bedrooms which are all ensuite, large pool and subathing areas/gardens, bbq, internet and is airconditioned throughout. The villa is fully enclosed making it suitable for children and is located just a few minutes walk from the supermarket, Praia Dona Ana and Porto do Mos beaches and about a 10 minute walk or so into the historic town of Lagos. Within a five minute walk is what is locally called 'the restaurant triangle' where there is a variety of local restaurants offering a range of Portuguese and international dishes at excellent prices.

For golfers, Boavista Championship Golf course and spa is a five minute drive away and the newly redeveloped Palmares golf course is just 10 minutes or so away on the other side of Lagos.

Villa da Blanca offers spacious accommodation throughout. Entered through an impressive hallway this leads off to the large and very modern eat in kitchen and to the extensive lounge with copious amounts of comfortable seating. Both rooms lead out to the fully enclosed pool, bbq areas and gardens. Upstairs there are three large bedrooms, two twins, one double all of which are ensuite. Throughout there is airconditioning and internet access is also available throughout the villa

The villa is accessed via a long driveway which provides secure parking for up to three cars. The gardens and pool are fully enclosed providing a safe environment for children. There is a brick built bbq and dining table and chairs for alfresco eating and other seating for relaxing as well as sunbeds to make the most of the sunshine (please note the sunbeds in the photo are being upgraded for 2012). There iare grass areas around the villa providing play areas for children and the pool is set in extensive terracing offering plenty of space for sunbathing, relaxing in the shade or alfresco dining. The pool can be heated at £95 per week if required.

Conditions

25% deposit on booking with balance and £350 returnable damage deposit payable eight weeks in advance. Payment in sterling or euros accepted by bank transfer, cheque (sterling only) or credit card (3.4% surcharge applies).

The Algarve / West Algarve region

The Western Algarve is a superb place to visit - it is less crowded than the central or East parts of the Algarve and the coastline and inland countryside is spectacular and has everything you could possibly want for a holiday, and provide an opportunity to see the 'real' Portugal. There is every kind of sport available, from tennis through to water sports, dune buggying, microlighting and superb walking, bird watching opportunities.

The Lagos / Porto de Mos area

The historic town of Lagos is a real gem, with its cobbled streets, hundreds of restaurants, marina, shops and nightlife. Although visited by many tourists each year, it still retains a real Portuguese feel and is a wonderful place to be if you're into culture, history, beaches, nightlife or good eating. Porto do Mos is a lovely residential beach area, with spectacular cliffs and a large clean sandy beach with some superb beach side restaurants. Water sports abound in Lagos, Porto do Mos and Luz, and there is horseriding, tennis, golf etc within just five minutes' drive.Restaurant choices abound both in Lagos and in the immediate area of the villa as it is located in what is known locally as the 'restaurant triangle' which is where local residents eat most of the time as the prices tend to be lower than in the centre of Lagos.

Porto do Mos in Lagos is located on the Algarve in Portugal which is served by Faro airport (a 50 minute, easy motorway drive away). Faro is the destination for most budget and scheduled airlines from across Europe, whilst visitors from further afield tend to use either Lisbon (2.5 hours drive by motorway) or Seville in Spain (similar distance)

“Lovely villa in lovely Lagos” Villa da Branca is a very spacious, well-presented villa with a pool in an ideal location of Lagos. Very easy 15 minute walk into the town and also easy to get to Dona Ana and Camillo beaches and to Ponte Piedade.
