About the home

The villa provides a luxurious base for beach, golfing and family holidays and the villa itself offers a haven for relaxation with its beautiful gardens, terracing, pool area and stunning first floor balcony. The villa is furnished to an exceptionally high standard with all modern mod cons, including flat screen TV, cable, internet, built in BBQ and a fabulous first floor hot tub. Praia da Luz beach is excellent for families and Luz itself has a good number of bars and restaurants, many over looking Luz beach and the famous Black Rock. Boavista and Parque da Floresta golf resorts are within easy reach (5 and 15 minute drives) and offer exceptional golf and spa facilities. The historic town of Lagos is just a ten minute drive away.

The house is furnished to a very high standard and offers a more than comfortable holiday home with all the modern conveniences you would expect to find. It is painted in fresh colours giving it a colonial feel. Facilities include home entertainment system and satellite TV, Flat screen TV, internet and Wi Fi. There are 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms en-suite, a comfortable dining area, a feature wood burning fireplace and patio doors to the pool. The kitchen is fully fitted with granite worktops and new equipment. The Master bedroom on the first floor has en-suite facilities and a large separate dressing area. This leads out onto to a balcony with stunning views of Rocha Negra and Luz beach which can be enjoyed from the fabulous hot-tub.

All the bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes and separate patio door access to the terraces and balconies, giving rise to beautiful garden and ocean views.

This beautiful property is in a large private plot with a large pool area with magnificent contemporary pool, ample terracing including outside dining and seating areas, decking and ocean views. The garden has been landscaped with mature palm trees, hibiscus, bougainvillea and grasses. The first floor balcony has stunning views of Rocha Negra and Luz beach which can be enjoyed from the luxurious hot tub.

There is an outside pool shower and WC and an adjoining room that could be used as a play room or additional outside bedroom (a sofa bed is provided). The pool has a small diving board with pool depth ranging from 1.5 m (shallow) to 2.5 m (deep). There is secure parking at the front of the property with access via electric gates.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

The Western Algarve is an ideal family holiday location and is quieter than the the more commercial resorts of Albufeira and Villamoura. The Western Algarve and in particular the historic town of Lagos, retains much of its traditional Portuguese character. The beaches throughout the Algrave are arguably the best in Europe and offer spectacular coastal views . Good restaurants, especially those specialising in fresh seafood ,are plentiful and reasonably priced. There are a number of excellent water parks, with Slide & Splash at Lagoa particularly notable and just a 25 minute drive from the villa.

The Lagos area

There are championship golf courses the length and breadth of the Algarve. Boavista & Parque da Floresta which are close to the villa offer excellent golf and tend not to be as busy as the courses closer to Faro. The historic town of Lagos is just a ten minute drive and offers a beautiful modern marina, markets and restaurants. There is also a local zoo.

A drive further west sees the pace of life slow even further with small coastal villages offering quiet beautiful beaches and traditional restaurants on the beach fronts (eg Bergau, Salema, Sagres).
