With its relaxed atmosphere and quiet charm Lagos is one of the most appealing locations in the Algarve. Once the sun goes down, the old town comes alive. The Algarve / West Algarve region
The apartment is situated on Lagos Marina, with it's cosmopolitan mixture of bars, restaurants and shops. There's plenty for the kids too; playground and kiddies paddling pool. The Marina Club now boasts an indoor hydrothereapy pool and beauy salon. A short stroll through the marina and over a footbridge takes you into Lagos town, with its winding cobbled streets and its 400 restaurants and bars. Across the road from the apartment is a fully stocked supermarket, Pingo Doce, where you will find everything from fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables to wines and freshly baked bread and pastries. Wander down to the beach, 5kms of soft golden sand and a good selection of beach bars to tempt you.
Lagos area
Lagos is one of the most likeable towns in the Algarve with something for everyone. The historic centre is enclosed within 5th century walls and you can wander around numerous churches, the castle, fort and gruesome slave market, which is now the local art gallery. It was from Lagos that Henry the Navigator had his legendary school. With its relaxed atmosphere and quiet charm, along with its cobbled pavements and colourful market square, it is one of the most appealing locations in the Algarve. You can relax and do very little, or for the adventurous, you can indulge in many outdoor recreational activities, in the clean fresh air.
