The Algarve region
Situated on the extreme South of Portugal, this part of the territory was the last to be conquered from the Moors by the Portuguese king in 1292. Traces of the Moorish presence are still seen in its unique architecture - terraces, chimneys and whitewashed housesHowever, the distance that was difficult to cover back in the 13th century is no longer an obstacle thanks to the modern Lisbon-Albufeira-Castro Marim road (IP1) or Faro international airport. So why not visit this charming region, with its idyllic temperatures which are ideal for playing golf and other sports. In the northern part of the Algarve, the hills of Espinhação de Cão, Monchique and Caldeirão shelter the coast from strong winds. This brightly coloured region, with its fig trees, orange groves and almond trees in blossom, is also the most verdant and fertile. The southern coastline consists of a long stretch of fabulous sandy beaches, broken up by extraordinary rugged cliffs and fantastic grottoes.
Lagos / Dona Ana area
Lagos is a unique little jewel in the Algarve. It has chosen to develop its tourism with taste and class. It offers a balance of the charm and history of the Portuguese culture with a blend of creature comforts and facilities to please the desires of the most discerning tourist. The warmth of Lagos and her people make it difficult to resist falling in love with this seaside town. The complex is a short hop to Palmeres, Penina and Boa Vista golf courses.
How to get there
Fly to Faro, Portugal. Lagos is just an easy fifty minutes using the new motorway from Faro Airport. - All major low cost carriers operate flights from the UK and Ireland. Car rental is cheap. Further details outdoors: The apartment is accessed by a secure intercom system and lift. The complex is fully walled and there are pools for both adults and children. Dedicated Sun Loungers are availible at the poolside.
The town of Lagos, can be accessed, by foot, car, taxi or by new "Onda" shuttle bus service, ticket cost €0.60 with access to seven different routes servicing Lagos and adjoining towns and resorts. Bus stop directly outside Complex.
Visitors, not inclined to visit the centre Lagos will enjoy the local hospitality of Restaurant Ozes run by the cordial Alfonse, Paraiso, famous for their flambee cusine, Don Luis, a good Portugese food establishment and the family favourite Pizza Gata Pardo.
Two local supermarkets which are well stocked, provide gorgious warm fresh bread, cheese and cooked meats daily

Just wanted to say what a wonderful and lovely time I had in your apartment in Lagos last week. It was fabulous and could not be more convenient or ideal for a great holiday. The weather was grand and there was so much to do nearby. Not having a car was really no hinderance at all. Can't recommend it enough to all my friends and family. It was very kind of your rep to meet me from and take me back to the station and she told and showed me everything I needed to know to make my stay worthwhile. hi, we did not find the apartment in any way to small for five of us. Connie was wonderful, the cot bed was there when we arrived,the cleaning service was great all very pleasant and nice. the apartment was lovely and cool at all times due to all the windows. the mini bus was very successful i would recommend them, connie was amazed at their price 160euro return from faro(simply lagos). we really did enjoy the holiday and all going well we will be in contact re 08.
