This stylish and modern Villa with large, heated pool is set in a superb position on a large plot size of 1,300m2. A spectacular highlight of this design is the sheltered inner courtyard which gives the villa a tremendous feeling of space and light. Arches lead from the hallway to the large eat-in kitchen and open-plan dining area, with arches also leading to the large main living area. Sets of patio doors from the living and dining areas lead outside onto spacious, partly shaded, south facing raised pool terrace area which is perfect for relaxing and taking in the stunning views of the local countryside. Steps on either side of the terrace lead down to a large, heated pool and very private garden. The mezzanine level, accessed via a concealed staircase, gives access to two south facing, private roof terraces orientated to catch the sun at different times of day.
Accommodation includes three double bedrooms, two with en suite facilities, and a study, off the main living area, with a double sofa bed for additional sleepers.

The Lagos / Burgau area
Lagos (pronounced "lah-gosh") is one of the Algarve's most attractive and historic towns, capturing the imagination with its carefree holiday spirit, laid-back lifestyle and immense historical wealth. With its cobbled streets and colourful Marina, Lagos has some excellent restaurants, good shops and great nightlife plus a range of family activities and superb beaches on the doorstep. 10 minutes west of Lagos is Burgau, a picturesque fishing Village with pretty white cottages, jumble of drawn up fishing boats and a sheltered sandy beach with lively beach bar. A handful of restaurants and mini-market serve the village and those looking for a more local lifestyle. AlmaVerde is found 4km inland from Burgau, 55 minutes from Faro and 10 minutes from Lagos. This award winning village comprises a selection of newly built, luxurious yet tradtiional looking Villas with access to a day spa, tennis courts and countryside as far as the eye can see. The nearest beach is Burgau with the sandy beaches of Salema, Zavial, Figueira, Sagres and Martinhal all within a 5 - 15 minute drive West. To the East are the beaches of Luz, Porto de Mos, Lagos and many more within 10 minutes. Only 10 minutes either East or West are two golf courses - Parque da Floresta and Boa Vista. Slightly further afoot are a range of golf courses, many of which are championship level - the famous Penina, Quinta do Lago and Vale da Lobo (Golden Triangle) courses are within a 45 minute drive.

Faro Airport is a 50-55 minute drive to AlmaVerde - straight down the main A22 motorway. N.B. There is now a toll charge applicable for those using the A22 but you don't pass through any toll booths. Please check the details of how to pay the charges with your car hire company as it is unlikely that you can pay online and most car rental companies offer a good solution. Lisbon airport is a 2.5 hour drive and nearly all motorway driving so a good alternative. It is a good idea to have some Euros with you as there are toll roads along the way and you'll be able to pass through these quickly if you have change rather than notes. Seville Airport is another alternative and you must check with your car hire company that you are able to drive into Portugal. Airlines such as TAP Portugal, Monarch, EasyJet and BA all fly into both airports and it's a good idea to shop around as there is nearly always a good deal to be found. There are a lot of car hire companies in Portugal and sometimes your airline will offer you a discount if you use their partner company. A local Lagos company that we have used for many years have always been very reliable and the car will be waiting at Faro Airport. They will offer anyone booking through Peartree an all-inclusive, discounted, deal - this includes unlimited drivers, children's seats and zero-excess. They can offer a transfer service from Faro Airport to the property (and back). Given the position of AlmaVerde I would recommend a car for local journeys so if you've had a transfer from the airport they can also arrange to drop off a car to you at the villa. AlmaVerde is located just off the EN125 at the turn off to Burgau.
