This beautiful spacious 3 bedroom, fully air-conditioned apartment in the exclusive new Quinta das Palmeiras complex, is perfectly located close to the historic old town of Lagos. The apartment has been stylishly furnished by an interior designer to provide luxurious 4 star accommodation for up to 6 people. The large lounge/dining room has comfortable seating for 6, satellite TV/DVD and a separate dining area. A spacious main balcony, accessed from both the lounge and kitchen, is furnished with a table and chairs for 'alfresco' dining. There is also a small private balcony off the master bedroom with table and chairs.
The complex has 3 swimming pools - one adult and one children's outdoors, and a heated indoor pool. There is also a children's play area. The marina, beaches and dozens of restaurants and eateries are all within a 10 minute walk – everything is so close you really don’t need a car for your stay in Lagos.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed, en suite hydrotherapy bath/shower and a private balcony.
Two further generously sized twin bedrooms share a separate shower room.
The large lounge/dining room has comfortable seating for six, satellite TV/DVD and a separate dining area.
An exceptionally well equipped kitchen provides you with everything you need for dining in.
A spacious main balcony, accessed from both the lounge and kitchen, is furnished with a table and chairs for 'alfresco' dining.

The complex has three swimming pools. The adult outdoor pool (10m x 8m) and small children's pool are set in a tiled area with sun loungers, and a heated indoor pool (7.5m x 3.5m) together with a jacuzzi. There is a small children's play area close to the outdoor pools. A well equiped gym is situated next to the indoor pool. Secure underground car parking is provided. Cafe Fresco, a superb on-site cafe, provides delicious home-cooked food and drinks.

All of our guests are met at the apartment on arrival by our English speaking representative. Welcome packs are available on request, as are a cot and high-chair, at an additional cost.
Conditions
A 25% non-refundable deposit is payable on booking to secure your reservation. The balance is due 8 weeks before the holiday start date. A refundable security deposit of £200 is requested with the final holiday payment.

The Algarve / West Algarve region


The Western Algarve is a superb holiday location all year round. Dozens of unspoilt sandy beaches, open countryside for walking, superb golf courses, and the historic town of Lagos, there is something of interest for everyone. Other places of interest a short drive away include Silves and Sagres with castles, cathedrals and Gothic buildings, and the traditional village of Monchique with its spectacular mountain views.
The climate is warm all year with an average of 300 days of sunshine, and summer breezes mean that even the hottest days are comfortable.
The Lagos / Central Lagos area
Lagos is the hidden gem of the Algarve! Protected by its 16th century walls, this picturesque town retains its old-world Portuguese charm. A fine selection of restaurants offering international cuisine, pavement cafes and stylish boutiques line the maze of cobbled streets. There is a superb fresh fish market, with fruit and vegetables for sale on the upper level.
Less than 15 minutes walk from the apartment is the fabulous Meia Praia beach - 5km of golden sand with every facility you could ask for, and the quieter town beach at Praia da Batata. A further 7 beaches are within easy reach, many of which are served by the local road train.
During the summer there are all forms of water sports including water-skiing, banana boats, para-sailing and other excitements for all the family. For those who prefer things a little quieter, sailing trips run daily from Lagos Marina. Boat trips are also available to view the grottos and sea caves, or to go Dolphin watching out at sea. To see dolphins close-up why not visit ZooMarine where you can even swim with them!
There are several golf courses close to Lagos offering excellent facilities in beautiful surroundings.
Out of season the Western Algarve is a quiet, tranquil place - ideal to 'get away from it all'. The surrounding beaches, cliffs and countryside are ideal for those who like to walk, bird watch, photograph, and enjoy the delights of nature.

Lagos is situated towards the western end of the Algarve in Portugal. The nearest airport is Faro, which is served by many airlines from most European countries.
Airlines flying from the UK include Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair, Aer-Lingus, TAP Portugal, Thomson, Jet2 and British Airways.
Flight time from London airports is about 2.5 hours.
Monarch fly from London, Luton and Manchester, BMI baby from Cardiff, Birmingham and East Midlands, Jet2 from Manchester, Leeds & Bradford and Blackpool, and Thompson from Luton, East Midlands, Coventry, Bournemouth, Bristol.
From Ireland both Ryanair and Aer-Lingus fly direct to Faro. Aer-Lingus fly from Cork and Dublin and Ryanair from Shannon and Dublin.
Faro airport is about 80km from Lagos, and the new A22 motorway will get you to the apartment in approximately 50 minutes.
There are many car hire companies based at the airport, and by pre-booking it is usually possible to get a good deal. We generally use Sixt, who have a collection and drop-off point at Faro airport (unlike some other car hire companies who have a drop-off area away from the airport).
Alternatively, for those not wishing to drive there are either private taxis or minibuses - see http://www.faroairporttransfers.com/ or an airport shuttle transfer bus - see www.A2Btransfers.com. For best prices it is important to book both of these in advance.
The railway station is a short walk away and trains travel from here along the south coast, past Faro and on into Spain. The train from Faro to Lagos takes about 2 hours. You will need a taxi from the airport to Faro rail station, then a 10 minute walk to the apartment.
Pre-booked taxis from Faro airport to the apartment cost about 75 euros each way and can carry up to 8 people.
The apartment is located very close to the coach station in Lagos, which offers services to the whole of the Algarve as well as Lisbon and other areas.

This was our second visit to this apartment having visited last year with family (6 adults) this time there were just 3 adults. We loved Lagos and what made it for us was the location of the apartment only 5 mins to the Marina and a 10 mins stroll into town (much quicker if you are not walking into every shop that you pass!!) The apartment has everything you wish for, it is a luxury apartment and the two pools and jaquzzi are wonderful. There is a gym but I will be honest I didn't try it out. There is a gorgeous little bistro at the bottom of the apartments, the food and service there was also great. I can not recommend it highly enough. If you have a hire car – The Water Park is well worth visiting |

What a totally wonderful place! The apartment is so lovely, clean, well equipped and in the words of our 10yr old "totally amazing! couldn't have asked for better. Really liked the jacuzzi, pools (indoor pool fab when it gets cold outside), beaches and evenings spent in the squares of the old town watching the entertainers..oh and the fact that I could get wi-fi downstairs in Cafe Fresco!." Our 6yr old just says.. "when are we going back?" Definitely a place that can offer something for everyone, all year round. Food lovely (particularly the fresh fish), no need for car but if you do hire one there's plenty more to see within easy driving distance. The beaches are a short 10 minute walk from the apartment and are fantastic with the choice of the never-ending Meia Praia to the East of the Marina, or the smaller sandy coves of Praia Batata and Praia L'etudents to the West just below the Old Town. All the beaches are great for kids with shallow water (particularly at low tide) and gentle sloping sandy entry to the sea, with snorkling around the rocks off Praia L'etudents. The apartment had all mod cons including jacuzzi bath in the master en-suite, the ability to pipe music in to every room from the central hi fi system, Freesat digital TV, dvd player and the most amazing hoover built in to the walls!!! and everything you could need in the kitchen, even a dishwasher! but the local food is superb and reasonably priced, so no need for much cooking (says Mum!). Lovely welcome pack on arrival - thank you so much - really meant we could relax straight in to our holiday without having to venture out to the supermarket as soon as we arrived. Worth every penny. Vino Verdi (green wine) from the local supermarket cheaper for 3 bottles than one glass at our local pub in Surrey! Good range of restaurants offering everything from local Portuguese cuisine, fresh fish from the fish market to Italian, Indian, Chinese, Tapas and steak. Better value for money if you keep away from the main street through the Old Town. All in all, a great apartment, friendly town with good beaches, and something for everyone. Just what it says on the tin. |

the apartment was comfortable, well equipped and stylish and we even enjoyed cleaning with the built in vacuum system! easy to park and walk into the town centre and the weather was sunny every day. Cannot think of any problems the local staff were friendly an helpful we enjoyed the beautiful local beaches and went to the castle at Silves, walked around Monchique and Sagres which was very atmospheric and windy! it was ideally positioned as we did not have to drive more than 40 mins to reach them. |
