About the home

This luxurious apartment is positioned on the first floor of a converted mill in the centre of Laglio, a sleepy fishing village.Luxury living is the theme of this apartment with every home comfort ensuring your stay here on the lake will be one to treasure. The interior design combines the traditional and local character. The home is furnished in a contemporary style with sumptious bedding and quaility furnishings such as the large, leather sofa's and hand polished table. There are two double bedrooms with king-size beds, one bathroom, a bespoke handmade kitchen finished with Italian granite surfaces. The adjoining dining and lounge areas offer stunning unhindered views both across and up the lake. 32” flat screen TV, DVD, SKY TV. There is a private garage within the Residence and access to the Residence and garage is via secure automated gate. A secure area for parking cycles.

Plus outside a large communal garden just a couple of minutes walk from the apartment itself.

The small village of Laglio is one of the most beautiful and tranquil places of Lake Como. Situated on the western shore, it has the typical atmosphere of an old hamlet, with pedestrian narrow lanes. Its location close to the small village square makes the village an ideal starting point for bike rides, boat trips and walks.

All amenities are accessible from the home including a cafe bar at the lake edge jfound ust outside the gates of the residence, a local butcher, mini market and post office all within 2 – 5 minutes walk. Local restaurants serving quality local dishes using fresh, local ingredients. A large supermarket and shopping mall on the outskirts of Como –approximately 10 minutes drive. Milan is half an hour away by train or 40 minutes by car.
In the winter you can reach the mountains within an hour – an hour an a half, and enjoy some excellent skiing!

Regina Residence is positioned just in front of the lakes edge, set in its spacious communal gardens. Our new apartment is on the first floor and the interior design combines the traditional and local character. It is furnished in a contemporary style to a luxurious standard. There are two double bedrooms with king-size beds, one bathroom (which includes a washing a machine) a bespoke handmade kitchen finished with Italian granite surfaces is available here in the living room.The adjoining dining and lounge areas offer stunning unhindered views both across and up the lake. For your enjoyment, there is a 32 inch flat screen TV, DVD and Sky. Private garage within the Residence and access to the residence and garage is via secure automated gate as well as a lift to your apartment which means the home is suitable for all age groups. Communal garden area for alfresco dining or dine inside on the luxury dining table. With the well stocked fitted kitchen, cooking here is a real chef's delight!
There is also a secure area for parking cycles.

Whilst the garden is "officially" a communal garden reachable from the apartment via the lift and steps, in 3 years of letting the home neither us or any of our guests have yet to encounter any other residents using the garden as the property has few permanent residents and other homes feature private gardens or balconies here at the residence.
Picnic hamper and private table and chairs supplied for you to enjoy.

Lift to the home means the property is suitable for all ages. Please note their around 30 steps to access the home only
plus steps and lift down to the communal garden area.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

The home is accessible to all tourist attractions Bellagio, also Mennagio, Varena and Lenno. There are some stunning views if youtake the lake road by car or ferry. There are some heavenly views if you go around by boat!
We can recommend local boat hire companies.

Villa Carlotta at Cadenabbia and also the Villa Balbianello near Lenno (where scenes for Casino Royale and Star Wars were filmed) are renowned worldwide attractions.

Como Town is well worth visiting - it has a magnificent Duomo, designer shopping and also has a silk museum. There are many excellent restaurants. Boats can be taken from Como to all areas of the lake.

Milan is reachable by car in 40 minutes and 30 minutes by train. The train stops very close to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele where you can spend time in the splendid shops and elegant coffe-shops. Piazza della Scala is close by and you can see the famous La Scala Opera House here. From here you can walk to the Cenacolo Vinciano and see Da Vinci's painting of the Last Supper.

Milan is home to the two of the most famous football teams in Italy. The best team and the most celebrated team (but less successful) Guess which one we support! Stadium tours on request.

The Laglio area

The residence is located close to lake side., here you can sit with your feet up, doors open, and watch the boats coming and going and hear the lapping of the water. As it gets dark the view is magical with all the lights coming on in the villages across the lake.

Laglio has local shops including, cafe bars, restaurants, small mini market, butcher, hardware, post office and newsagent.

The apartment is located 2 minutes walk from to the lake via lift and steps!
Only the residential lake road in front of the residence separates you from the lake..
