Stunningly beautiful 'Belle Époque'villa, built 100 years ago, is now a family home. It has recently been very carefully restored by local craftsmen and builders under a watchful eye. The villa has all modern facilities combined with period furniture to retain the elegance and atmosphere the villa has always commanded, set among landscaped gardens with a pool, and views of the lake.
The beautiful marble entrance hall leads to both lounge and kitchen, with its new, hand painted cabinets with granite work surface, double oven, hob microwave, dishwasher, and all modern kitchen appliances. The elegant dining room is adjoined to the kitchen and has seating for 14 people. The Italianate lounge decorated ceilings, marble floor and open fireplace. The comfortable air conditioned bedrooms sleep up to 12 people, some have en-suite bathrooms. Full maid service is included when you rent the villa.
Together with the beautiful setting of Villa Negri, situated in Laglio, home of George Clooney, close to Villa D'Este and Como city and convenient for spectacular golf courses and water sports, here you will find everything you need to spend a relaxing holiday on the most beautiful of Italian lakes.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Lake Como, surrounded by mountains, hills valleys and cities of art, has much to offer. It is situated in one of the most economically and industrially important regions (Lombardy) in Northern Italy, nestled between Lake Maggiore and Lake Garda, right on the Swiss boarder, framed by the majesty of the alps, where different cultures have merged over the centuries to form it’s unique and inimitable charm. We enjoy a varied climate, generally snowy winters, mild springs and warm summers, but being near the water, never too hot and then we have our mountains to escape to just in case.
Laglio area
While spending a holiday on Lake Como, you will have the chance to see much more than you would expect. You could explore its breathtaking surroundings, beautiful villas and picturesque villages… You could compare it with the less well known but far from less beautiful Lake Orta and Lake Lugano… You could visit the nearby cities, full of history and culture, such as Milan, Bergamo and of course Como the capital city of the Lake, just to mention a few… You could slip into Switzerland and pay a visit to Campione D’Italia and its casino, or travel a little further and enjoy the nature in one of the jet-set ski resorts such as St. Moritz. A trip into the northern mountains to try the local wine and enjoy a ride on the 'glacier express' train which is always a thrilling experience, winter or summer.

How to get there
Budget airlines fly into Bergamo, Orio al Serio, Malpensa and Linate, all very convenient for Lake Como. Travel time is from 45 minutes to an hour and 30 minutes, depending on which airport and time of day. The nearest train station is in Como, 15 minutes drive away. We can offer you a chauffeur service from your airport or train station of arrival. The local bus stops about 1 minute away from the villa.

Further details indoors: Villa Negri has been completely refurbished by the English owners, so it is of a very high standard. Just across the local road from Lake Como, ideal for relaxing and touring, We offer a maid service 5 days a week, for 2 hours a day, and more can be arranged locally. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms, but it's rarely needed because of the thick old walls which keep the cool in and the heat out. New marble floors on the ground floor and the original stone floors in the bedrooms. All the bathrooms are new. We can arrange a local chef, who will shop and cook for you, we can arrange tours (especially Villa Balbianello) not to be missed, try the experience of a trip on the 'Bernina train' to St. Moritz. We are always on hand, just a phone call away, to help you with any problems or to give you any additional information which might help you make the absolute BEST of your stay.
Further details outdoors: The garden, parking area and pool are completely private. There is private secure parking for up to 5 cars on the property. The pool is situated in the magnificent garden, which is on a higher level than the villa and offers tranquillity and wonderful lake views. There is dining area, just outside the kitchen, with a small B-B-Q, here you will be able to dine in the shade of the century old trees. By the pool, there is another dining area, with BAR-B-Q for more dining.
Further details
The price of rental is all inclusive, there are no final cleaning charges or utilities, except when heating is used, then this will be charged by the metre. We ask for 30% to be paid on booking and the remaining amount no later than 6 weeks before your arrival. If you decide to book, you will receive our rental agreement with the bank details for payment.
