Laglio area
The apartment is based in the heart of Laglio close to the lake enjoying wonderful panoramic lake views. The village enjoys an enviable location on the lower western shore of the lake situated just 10 minutes drive from Como City and only 45 minutes drive from Malpensa airport in Milan. Laglio is renowned for its tranquil atmosphere, being one of the few villages here situated off the main lake road with the quieter lower lake road given you access around the lake as well as the ferry and bus service. The apartment is surrounded by period villas some of which are frequented by local, wealthy milanese (on the weekend) and the lakes most famous resident,Geoge Clooney who owns the Villa Oleandra seen from your home and just a 5 minutes walk! The village benefits from a number of first class restaurants, bars frequented by the villagers,local stores inc mini markets (fresh bread and pasta), salumeria (fresh local meats) heralding a by gone age! The pace of life is virtually at a stand still and provides the perfect desitnation to re-charge one's batteries. Add to the mix pretty walks with breathtaking lake views and Laglio will no doubt delight and relax you with the slow, simplistic lifestyle in equal measure. A shingle beach is available within walking distance of the apartment here in the village of laglio.The upmarket village of Cernobbio is only a short drive away with various boutiques, bars and restaurants. A shingle beach can be found in Argegno (10 mins drive), golden sand man-made beach (20 mins drive), Milan (for shopping and football) 45 mins, Golf in Como (20 mins), Switzerland (designer outlet, Lake Lugano, san Mortitz) are all easily reachable from your home as the swiss boarder is only 20 mins by car. Villa D'este, one of the most regal and picturesque hotels in europe is just a short drive away which makes for a magical setting for high class dining whilst the Gato Nero restaurant, a favourite celebrity haunt, perched above Cernobbio is renowned for it's truffle risotto as well as stylish interior and breathtaking lake views.

The apartment is really comfortable especially for family vacation with kids. There was even a separate laundry room outside of the apartment which is very helpful with a little baby. Apartment is located in a nice old village just few steps from great restaurants. A little bit difficult to climb stairs holding a baby, but I guess everywhere at Como you have to go up if to enjoy a view.

Great apartment with amazing view and all amenities one can think of with only a coffee machine lacking (we have since purchased!) The apartment is nicely situated, accessible and beautifully furnished and decorated with contemporary design and comfort.

I still think of your apartment on Lake Como and spent an idyllic time sitting on the balcony watching the comings and goings on the lake. The apartment was beautiful and in an ideal position – although it wouldn’t of course be suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to the steps.

We had a wonderful time on Lake Como this summer. The flat had a beautiful view and we enjoyed the swimming pool every afternoon with the kids. It is just the stairs to access that are a bit steep ! Laglio situation was quite central to the lake. We easily took the ferry from Lenno to discover the lovely cities of Varenna and Bellagio. We rented a boat in Cernobbio and had great fun boating on the lake. We would like to come back next summer.

"The apartment was lovely, modern & stylish and the views were amazing. Sitting on the balcony observing the lake, having a drink or a meal was made extra special by the outstanding scenery. The small village of Laglio is really pretty and has a few bars and restaurants to try, the locals were really friendly and helpful. Exploring the lake by a variety of boats and ferries was a great experience and it was good fun discovering the many different villages, each has something unique to offer but wherever you go, you are never far from a stunning view".
