About the home

This lovely, fully furnished 2 bedroom hideaway is now available for rental, with its beautiful tropical hardwood floors to the living room and bedroom with the classic look of terrazzo to remaining floors and bathroom walls, airconditioning to bedrooms, Located near the butterfly garden in the southern part of Koh Samui.

Local attractions
Within 5-10 minutes walk from the Villa you have over half a dozen restaurants serving Thai and western food, 3 mini-marts for your daily needs, several laundry shops, 2 massage shops to help ease that aching body. Also a couple of small bars to quench that thirst with an ice cold beer or two, for entertainment you have the tiger zoo, aquarium and butterfly garden. Slightly further a field watch the locals with the monkeys that collect the coconuts from the trees.

Also close by is Centara Villas Resort and Samui Orchid which opens its doors to non residents and have many facilities to enjoy, including numerous restaurants and bars go on spoil yourself.

5 minutes away by motorbike or car you have the fishing village of Baan Hua Thanon where fresh fish, fruit and vegetables are sold daily at the local market, also the home of Baan Hua Thanon seafood restaurant a well recommended eatery with a fantastic menu, a bit slow but well worth the wait.

The seaside town of Lamai the second largest on the island and far superior in every way to the polluted Chaweng is just 10 minutes away by motorbike or car where you can party until dawn, fine dine in one of the many beach side restaurants, shop until you drop or just relax in one of the many watering holes Lamai has to offer and watch the world go by.

Just remember nowhere on the island is more than 35 minutes away, private car hire with a driver, taxis, motor bike taxis and the local public transport which run around the ring road called song taews or simply hire a motorbike or car.

The Koh Samui region

Koh Samui being the largest of the Siam gulf islands and resides on an archipelago of 80 smaller islands of which very few (6) are inhabited. With its beautiful coconut trees and hills covered with lush vegetation and it offers a wonder of natural beauty to explore and enjoy.

It enjoys a tropical climate with its main season running from Dec to April. You will find the standard of living very attractive and there are many shops offering summer clothing and accessories.

The Laem Sett area

Lamai is a busy little beach side tourist town 10 mins drive from the Villa. There are many shops lining the streets offering locally made souvenirs and clothes. When the sun goes down the streets come alive with lights and music from the night market and variety of bars while the restaurants serve excellent Thai and western dishes in the town and on the beach.

Thai boxing is also popular and Lamai has its own professional and amateur boxing ring.

There is also the Namsuang Waterfalls, Crocodile farm and Elephant trekking which can be found a short distance away plus many temples and a snake farm.

The Aquarium ,Tiger Zoo and Butterfly Garden is within walking distance of the villa

Royal Samui Golf & Country Club. 18 hole course under construction but first 9 holes now open on mountain overlooking Lamai, 15 minutes from the villa.

Exactly as we'd hoped for and more!
We choose to stay at Hideaway Villa because of its proximity to our friend's wedding location, it was the best decision we made. The property is just a beautiful as the images on the Peaceful Villas website and does not disappoint. There was more than enough space for my partner and I, laying by the pool in the afternoon's was so relaxing. There is even turtles in the koi fish pond that surrounds the outdoor area. An outdoor tele with satellite TV was my partner's dream come true!
David and his assistant were so helpful during our stay and ensured we had nothing to worry about, thank you for a great holiday (it was too short)!

Fantastic Unique Villa
We booked this Villa to celebrate my husbands' 70th birthday. We have travelled exstensively throughout our 46 years of marraige, but have never found anywhere as unique as this. The reason being, your living area is open, you feel your outside all the time. We had a lot of heavy, heavy rain while we were there, and this room being open was just ideal, undercover but still outside. Loved feeding the fish everyday, which swam round the whole of house.
From booking this Villa David was very helpful, answering the many questions we had. On arrival we asked for an ironing board, and noticed one of the lounge beds was burst, and the next day, board and 2 new beds were delivered. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, this is the place. We used the Barracuda restaurant, just round the corner, lovely staff, meals, got a few carry outs, they did all our laundry, got us taxis and would also rent out scooters. Everything is so laid back here.

Heaven in Samui!
We stayed here for 6 days during the end of November 2010 for our wedding anniversary. The villa was neat, tidy and very romantic and has a close proximity to some very good restaurants. David and his staff were exceptional and couldn't do enough for us! In all a remarkable place run by remarkable people!

Fantastic Honeymoon
Really enjoyed the stay in the hideaway villa. My wife and I chose to stay here as it would be much cheaper way of having our own pool, and more than just a room.

We enjoyed the luxury of not having anyone around - apart from cleaners on set days. The villa has everything you need to make your stay comfortable.

We really enjoyed relaxing in the living area with the large TV and surround sound system - buying good movies in Thailand is very cheap! So it was a great way to unwind and often sit the real hot part of the day out.

They provided a scooter cheaper than everywhere else - which is the best way to get around cheaply. In total its usage and fuel cost us £40. 2000 Baht. That was for 10 days.

The local amenities include a couple of restaurants and a bar - all within walking distance (2mins). One restaurant - The Fishermans Net - suited us perfectly. A good ambience, friendly staff etc.

Thailand beds are pretty firm (I remember this from 5 years ago) and it's the same here. A cheap massage sorts that out though!

The location is away from all the busy areas - we enjoyed scooting up to the main beach area - Chaweng (25mins) and Lamai (15mins), we only did this a couple of times, but the views are beautiful and there are lots of interesting shops/stalls and coves/beaches on route.

I really recommend the stay if you wish to completely relax, don't want to be bothered by hotel staff or other people a foot away from your sunbed! If we were to come back to Koh Samui, we wouldn't think twice about booking up here again. Its great.

Lovely spacious accommodation in a beautiful location
We had a wonderful stay at the Hideaway Villa which provided lovely accommodation in a wonderful, peaceful location. We were very impressed by the fact that the owner picked us personally to bring us to the apartment (including a useful stop at the supermarket) and dropped us off at the airport after our stay. The apartment was very spacious, clean with good amenities, great bed and a touch of luxury with the outside lounge, large TV and brilliant pool. Wonderful quiet beach practically on the doorstep was perfect for a relaxing stroll and paddle. Two great local restaurants provided very tasty food with fast and friendly service at an amazingly cheap price. In summary if you want a place to get away from it all with the comforts of home and more then look no further than Hideaway Villa and its friendly owner and staff.

Was a really fabulous find!
I found this place on the internet and even though the pictures made it look fabulous I was unsure whether it would really meet that standard (a usual concern when booking on the net). However, we were far from disappointed! I have stayed in some quality places and I can honestly say that this is up there with the best!

It is in a secluded part of the island, which was fine as relaxation was high on our agenda. Bits of the island have been ruined by tourism but this area was perfect. The beach, only 100m away, has barely seen a footprint, but does have a great 'bamboo hut' bar with cold beer. There are two restaurants close to the villa and they offer reasonably priced and great food. You can easily rent a moped from one of these places for only a few quid a day to get around the island.

The villa itself is lovely. Secluded, clean, finished to a high standard and perfect for a romanic break.

I have been recommending this place to everyone I speak to looking for a holiday of this nature. I am not one to go back to somewhere I have been but would really consider heading back to this place! It is a fabulous find!

Wonderfull
My wife and I stayed for 3 weeks in November 2009. We were met at the airport and taken directly to Villa. Villa is beautiful, with secluded private pool area, perfect for relaxing getaway. There are 3/4 lovely restaurants in walking distance from the Villa. We hired a moped (very cheap) which we used to explore the Island and travel to other Restaurants in the evenings when we fancied a change. David the owner could not have been more helpful, he popped in during holiday just to check we were happy with everything. Villa is very comfortable and has all the mod cons you will need. We had a wonderful holiday in this Villa and would recommend it to anyone.

We loved Thailand in our own private villa!!!
We stayed at the villa for 1 week and it really was not long enough!!! We are always talking about our experience at the villa and in Thailand in general, we rave to all our friends and have added pictures of villa into out holiday snaps album on facebook!!! We are planning a return trip to the villa as we loved it that much. It is so peaceful in the village where the villa is located and all the locals are really friendly, we loved to lazy on the beach and have a few drinks at the beach bar and eat out in the local restaurants nearby. We also took a taxi to Lami one evening which was really nice we just asked at the restaurant round the corner and one of the employees took us for a small fee. Thailand is really good value for money and you can pick up some really good bargains!!! David was really friendly and helpful, I would really recommend staying in on e of David's villas instead of a hotel. At the villa you have your own private pool with an outdoor lounge it really is the best option if you want a relaxed chilled and out holiday.

Cool--never used air conditioner.
This place is as advertised. It is very nice, new, really nice outdoor spaces, including outdoor living room and pool. It's the only place I've been in Thailand where I didn't have to turn the airconditioner on even at night for sleeping. Also, as advertised, it is a little bit remote, and not much activity in the immediate vicinity.
