The property is naturally enclosed with security gates to the front. The cottage of 80 sq metres has a living-room comfortably furnished with a bed settee and two armchairs, television, CD/DVD player and various indoor games such as, cards, chess, backgammon, scrabble and many others. In the dining area there is a table,4 chairs 2 folding chairs and a high chair.The kitchen equipped with an electric cooker,a fridge,a dishwasher,a microwave, a toaster, a liquidiser, an electric kettle and a walled telephone. There are three bedrooms 2 with double beds one with 2 single beds there is also a travel cot, a push chair is available on request. A bathroom with bath-shower, wash basin and towel dryer. Independent WC. Electric heating throughout the house for winter use only. The covered terrace at rear has a table seating 8and a barbecue. Darts, petanque, Swing Ball, Basket Ball, 2 Adult bicycles (Ladies & Gents) and badminton are available.

The Landes enjoys the sunny climate of the south west and can be divided in three parts the forest, the ocean and the lakes The forest is supervised by the park regional des Landes de Gascogne and Labouheyre is in the centre of the park surrounded by forest which in turn offers over 100 Kilometres of laid out cycle tracks. The ocean with over 150 kilometres of fine sandy beaches offers all the diversity you may be looking for surfing, sailing, Sail-Carting, swimming or simply sunbathing. The lakes,sailing,water- skiing,and beaches for swimming,volleyball. Labouheyre is within 30 minutes of all these facilities and many more. And within 8 kilometres on the river Leyre canoeing and kayaking. Le Picolo, The cottage is situated in the quaint village of Labouheyre between Bordaux and Bayonne in the heart of the forest within the Parc Naturelle des Landes de Gascogne.It benefits of a temperate climate throughout the year with very high temperatures during summer months. The area is perfect for those who seek a quiet and restful holiday whilst being within easy access of the sandy beaches and lakes of the Landes: (approximately 25 minutes by car). The house is situated within 1 Km to the centre of the village in proxmity of all commerce i.e. bakery, shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, railway station and medical centre. An open air market is held every Sunday in the town centre . Other attractions include the photographic museum of Felix Anaudin and a cinema.The village itself is a very important staging post on the route of Saint Jacques de Compostelle. At 5 km In the neighbouring village of Commensacq the outdoor activity site of Mexico offers Kayaking and Canoeing on the river Leyre. 3 km further lies the village of Sabres and the Eco museum of Marqueze and its little train. A must to visit the glass blowing workshop at Pissos. Le Picolo is within an hour of the thermal resorts of Dax and Cambo-les-Bains and towards towards the coast lies the resorts of Biarritz, Saint-Jean-de-Luz ,and the Spanish frontier,a further 20 minutes the historic resort of San Sebastian. To the east the Ski slopes of the Pyrenees and to the north the dunes of Pyla, Arcachon and the chateaux and vineyards of Bordeaux. Various activities are available within a radius of 30 Kms.- golf, cycling on tracks in the forest, horse riding, sailing, and naturally swimming on the lakes or the sea. The Landes is synonymous with Foie gras, Duck confit,Cassoulet, its famous Garbure and fine Armagnac.Not forgetting its famous course Landaise (running and jumping the cows).
