About the home

Recently decorated luxury 2 bedroom house superbly located in one of the best urbanizations in the south of the Costa Blanca, Colinas de La Zenia. It’s prime position opposite one of the two communal pools makes it ideal for family holidays. The private gated complex is safe and secure and benefits from beautifully landscaped gardens, the best of which can be found directly in front of the house. This really is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday for golfers, walkers, swimmers, shoppers or sunbathers just wanting to soak up the sun on the terrace, beach or by the pool.

The house has recently been decorated inside and out and has a luxury finish with marble floors throughout, fully tiled bathrooms and a fitted kitchen with modern appliances including oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. It is tastefully decorated and downstairs there is a spacious open plan lounge & dining area with 2 comfortable leather sofas and extendable dining table with 4 chairs, fully equipped kitchen, private enclosed rear galleria/conservatory with retractable roof, sofa bed and downstairs cloakroom/wc. Upstairs the air conditioned master bedroom benefits from a King Size bed with a quality mattress, built in wardrobes, bedside tables with reading lamps and a balcony overlooking the tranquil gardens and swimming pool. The air conditioned second bedroom has a small built in wardrobe, 2 single beds and bedside table with reading lamp. The bathroom is equipped with a 4 piece suite including bath with shower. Recently upgraded larger boiler provides adequate hot water for family use. Both bedrooms are large enough to accomdate a cot, which is available for hire, if required.

Air Conditioning and fans for summer use & there is heating and winter bedding for winter use. Linen and towels are provided. Guests must provide Beach/Pool Towels. UK Satellite TV Channels, 32" Flat Screen TV, DVD Player & Nintendo Wii Console (please bring your own games).

Outside is a covered verandah which leads to a gated private front terrace/garden complete with garden furniture and sunbeds - ideal for sunbathing or Al-Fresco dining. A recently installed large retractable awning allows the private front garden to be shaded if required on the hottest and sunniest of days and also allows part of the garden to be used during wet weather.

Superb location, excellent recently decorated house in private gated complex. Ideal for families. We have children ourselves so have made the house as child friendly as possible. Safe & secure location, privately gated front garden/terrace, stair gates at top and bottom of stairs (removable if not required); cot, highchair and pushchair/buggy available to hire if required, microwave for warming milk/baby food, washing machine installed. Professionally fitted Mosquito Blinds to every window and door. Swimming pool just a few metres from the garden gate - ideal for keeping an eye on the older children while you relax on the terrace or balcony.

We are based in the UK, however we have family who live close to the house in La Zenia. They offer a free meet and greet service, key handover, assistance with first day supermarket shopping if required and advice on where to go and what to do in the local area. There is also an information folder in the house.

Balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
£100 (125€) refundable security deposit required. Refunded when house is checked after departure subject to no breakages, damages or losses.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

With daytime summer temperatures averaging around 30oC and daytime winter temeratures as high as 21oC -The Costa Blanca is an ideal place for a family holiday. The municipal district of Orihuela and its 16km of Costa Blanca beaches sits nicely sandwiched between the cities of Alicante and Murcia. Nowhere in Orihuela municipality is more than 30 or so minutes from Murcia's San Javier Airport, which is just over 2 hours by air from the UK. Alicante's El Altet Airport is almost as close, giving you even more low cost flight options.
With its toes in the Mediterranean Sea and its fingers clinging to a limestone cliff in the Sierra de Orihuela, the district of Orihuela offers up a soothing Spanish holiday in the sun and, if you care for it, some adrenalin fun thrown in.

Simply let your feet sink into the soft white sands on one of the many Blue Flag beaches that make up the Orihuela Costa and laze your day away, or take to the sparkling sea and try your hand at waterskiing, windsurfing or sailing. There's also a nearby nature reserve and a mountainous park that offer gentle walking, strenuous hiking and mountain biking. The crags and cliffs of the Sierra de Orihuela host the most exciting (or terrifying!) activity in the region, rock climbing.

Set 30km from the coast is Orihuela's charming capital, Orihuela. This warm and historic city is cut by Río Segura and hosts a variety of splendid baroque, Gothic and Renaissance architecture.

The La Zenia / Colinas De La Zenia area

La Zenia can be found just off the N332 coast road, 11km south of Torrevieja. Conveniently located almost mid way between the Airports of Alicante and Murcia, La Zenia has something for everyone. The Orihuela Costa which features 7 blue flag beaches is a 16km stretch of white sand with the crystal clear Mediterranean sea lapping at its edges. La Zenia is superbly situated and boasts safe sandy beaches and many hidden private coves. The area is also known as the Vega Baja region, which offers the largest number of trails and pathways in the province. When you arrive in La Zenia you will breathe in the fresh sea air and experience the areas micro-climate which boasts around 320 days of sunshine per year. Sporty types will be in their element at the Orihuela Costa Resort which is just a 10 minute stroll from the house. It has some splendid sporting facilities including a gym, tennis courts and 2 superb swimming pools. Three spectacular golf courses are within easy reach of the house - Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Villamartin. La Zenia beach is just a 20 minute walk from the house and numerous bars, restaurants and shops are less than 10 minutes walk away. La Zenia is the perfect place for a family holiday. Its more than a beach resort, frankly its whatever you need it to be. Small, perfectly formed and conveniently located.

“Ideal villa for people with young children” Excellent service from owner and management team. We found them really friendly and they went out of their way to help and offer advice both before we went out and during our stay. Facilities were also excellent, villa was clean and they had stocked it with lots of little extras to make your holiday run that little bit smoother such as a parasol for the beach, cool box, pushchair etc. Secure gated garden with a pool directly outside it was so convenient. We had the whole pool to ourselves a lot of the time in the mornings. The complex is small and gated so felt safe and wasnt at all noisy at night. Plenty of shops within walking distance and a big bonus was the small childrens playground and outdoor 'gym' which was nice to walk down to in the evenings on the way to the restaurant. Great villa for a relaxing holiday and great service all round. :-) Response: Thank you for taking the time to review Casa La Zenia. We are so pleased that you had a wonderful holiday.
