A stylish and contemporary breton-style cottage situated in an exclusive riverbank development in the lovely Rance village of La Ville es Nonais, half-way between St Malo and Dinan. The cottage has a spacious and light open-plan layout with 3 sets of French windows leading directly out to the patio (with BBQ) and lawned gardens. The setting is very peaceful and from the terrace there are wonderful views of the River Rance. The cottage lies on the outskirts of the village which has its own bakery / small shop, church and bar / tabac. St Suliac with its beautiful river beach & sailing school is a short cycle ride. away. The larger town of Plouer-sur-Rance, with its marina, restaurants and supermarket is just 5 mins by car. Just 100 metres from the cottage is a fabulous horse riding school which offers pony treks through the beantiful countryside. The St Malo-Le Tronchet golf course is just 15 minutes away by car. Canalside towpaths run from Port Lyvet right up to Rennes - perfect car-free cycling for the chldren. There is a slipway at the nearby river beach for easy boat launching and space at the cottage to park a car + small boat / canoe (max length 6 metres).

The Brittany / Ille-et-Vilaine region

With its comfortable summer temperatures, Brittany is the perfect place for a family holiday or a romantic break. In addition to the beach resorts on the Emerald coast (St Briac, St Jacut, St Cast, St Servan and Dinard), other interesting places to visit include the walled town of St Malo (beach, aquarium, hypermarket), Cancale (oysters sea food), Dinan (rampart walk, medieval town centre, portside restaurants) and Jugon-les Lacs (large lake with recreational facilities) and Mont St Michel. Rennes - the capital of Brittany with its Saturday market and medieval town centre - is just 45 minutes away.

La Ville es Nonais area

Just minutes from the cottage, down lovely rural lanes, lies the River Rance for fishing, walking and swimming. The river footpath links the village to the picturesque town of St Suliac (shops, restaurants, bars, sailing school and river beach). Fantastic beach resorts with activities for children within 1/2 hours' drive. Theme parks, zoos, waterparks, forest and lakes are all within easy reach for day trips.

How to get there

Cheap flights available from Ryanair.co.uk from East Midlands and London Stansted to Dinard Airport. Brittany Ferries and Condor Ferries run regular sailings from Portsmouth, Weymouth & Poole to St Malo. Car hire available at airport and ferry port.
