The apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 people and has everything you might need to hand. The ground floor apartment has a terrace and benefits from a garden also and the large communal pool is only a short walk away. The apartment is family owned and has been furnished to a very high standard and reflects the 5 star resort in which its situated.
The 2 bedrooms each have built-in sliding wardrobes and drawers, both bedroom are fully fitted with top quality air conditioning units. There is a double bed in the master bedroom and twin beds in the 2nd bedroom, which makes this an ideal family holiday home. There is one family size bathroom with shower over the bath, basin, bidet & wc. The modern kitchen is also fully equipped. The terrace off the lounge has a table and chairs for 4 persons, which is superb for enjoying the outdoor living due to great all year round climate. The garden ensures you can catch the sun most of the day and the terrace would provide the much needed shade in the hotter months.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
The region of Murcia is situated on the Costa Calida (the warm coast) between Costa Blanca and Costa de Almeria. The region is easy to get to via most low cost airlines travelling via Alicante airport (approx 50 minutes away) and Murcia-San Javier airport (approx 15 minutes away). Getting around in the region is easy by car, as the area has a modern road network connecting all the major towns and cities.
The Costa Calida/Region of Murcia and its surrounding areas are sheltered by rolling hills & high mountains which creates its very own micro climate. This restricts rainfall, and as a result the region enjoys sunshine for in excess of 320 days per year. Low humidity, coupled with a mild climate, mean the WHO (World Health Organisation) have ranked this part of Spain as one of the healthiest locations in the world.
The salt water lagoon of the Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a strip of sand approx 22km long, which forms a barrier creating a shallow, warm lagoon. There are over 44km of beaches on the sides of the Mar Menor and the water is no more than 8m at its deepest point which makes it warmer than the Mediterranean sea and proves so popular with beach lovers. With no tides makes the Mar Menor an excellent location for all types of water sports as well as an ideal safe place for children.
The area of San Pedro Del Pinatar is a popular nature reserve on the salt flats. The famous mud baths in the salt flat area are said to heal skin complaints and rheumatism. Pink Flamingos make their way to Africa via this spot each September along with a variety of other migratory birds.
Los Alcazares is the nearest beach to the resort, which a typical Spanish town. Along side the beach is a mile long promenade which is ideal for a stroll and take in the views of the Mar Menor and La Manga.
Cartagena was founded by the Carthargenians in 227 BC. The port has been the main strong hold of the area and is still an important naval base. You can even see the cruise ships docking throughout the year and they make a scheduled stop at the beautiful city of Cartagena. Visit the narrow streets of the old town which were built around the ruined 13th century cathedral and there are several sites of historical interest including the remains of an old Roman theatre which has been recently restored, and an ancient lighthouse of Moorish origins.
Murcia is a vibrant cosmopolitan city with wonderful architecture and culture, only 20 minutes drive from La Torre Golf Resort. You must visit the cities cathedral with year-round exhibitions, sit in the square overlooking the cathedral have a coffee and watch the world go by.

The apartment is ideally situated and is within a 10 minute walk of the town centre with its international restaurants and bars, 5 star hotel, supermarket and the Golf Club House, where after a round on the golf course, you can have a light lunch and a drink in the Wood House Bar and talk about the highlights of your game.

How to get there
The resort is within a 20 minute drive from the local airport of San Javier (Murcia) where most budget airlines such as Easyjet, Jet2, Ryanair and Monarch fly too.
