Casa Martin is a fabulous modern and luxurious 2 bed apartment. It is superbly furnished and fully-equipped to a very high standard to provide a home from home. There is full air-conditioning throughout, and even British satellite TV available. The apartment will comfortably sleep 4 people in two bedrooms, and the quality double sofa bed in the main living area can provide an extra bed for up to 2 more guests.This second floor apartment also has great views from a large sunny south-facing terrace which overlooks maturing gardens and a fabulous large swimming pool. The terrace is ideal for enjoying eating al fresco, with plenty of room for a table with four chairs.
The apartment occupies an ideal location on the prestigious La Torre Golf Resort. It is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre restaurants, golf club house and hotel, while remaining peaceful as it is away from the resort's main roads. There is easy access to a shared swimming pool (one of many on the resort) and children's play area.
The apartment is ideal for both golfers and those on less energetic holidays! It would suit groups of friends or couples. It would alternatively also makes a great base for a family holiday, and we have a high-chair and cot available at no extra charge. The resort itself has easy access to Murcia's main roads, so makes a fantastic base for exploring this lovely area of Spain.

The spacious living area extends out onto the terrace through large double sliding doors, and has plenty of seating with two sofas and an armchair, plus a dining table and chairs. There is international satellelite TV with many familiar British TV stations, plus a DVD player, with a small selection of DVDs available. You can connect your laptop through the phone cable (ethernet) to access internet.
There are two good size bedrooms (one double and one twin), both of which have the advantage of air conditioning and built in wardrobes.
The kitchen is fully equipped, complete with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, and is generously supplied with plenty of glasses, tableware and cooking utensils. The bathroom is fully tiled in locally sourced stone, and has the added bonus of both a bath and a shower. The interior is finished to a high standard, with good quality furniture and finishes.
We use the apartment ourselves several times a year, and so comes fully equipped with all the home comforts you would want to have in a holiday home!
Further details outdoors:
The good sized terrace is south facing and sunny, and, being located on the second floor means it has the combination of excellent views across the communal pool and gardens, while still retaining privacy. The large table and chairs on the terrace will no doubt be the dining area of choice in the summer.
The large shared pool (one of many on the resort) is bound to be popular with guests, and is conveniently located close to the apartment. There is also a play area for children and a small enclosed paddling pool as well.

An English speaking representative will meet you at the apartment with the keys and show you around the apartment, and can answer any questions you may have. If you are not hiring a car, an airport taxi can be arranged.
Welcome packs can be arranged for your arrival, please ask for details.
We provide linen and towels, but bring your own beach towels.
Children are very welcome, and we have a high-chair and cot available in the apartment.

BookThe Murcia region
The Murcia region is in the south-east of Spain, and features a fantastic Mediterranean climate with over 320 days of sunshine a year. The proliferation of apricot and orange trees has earned Murcia the reputation of being Europe's orchard, 'Huerta de Europa'. The winter, spring and autumn are beautifully warm and sunny and are the best time of year for golfers, and for sightseeing in the surrounding area. The very high summer temperatures are best appreciated from the beach, swimming pool or sun lounger!
The area is at the southern end of the Costa Blanca, and is relatively undeveloped in comparison, although not lacking in facilities or character. There are great sandy beaches along both the Mediterranean coast, and the Mar Menor lagoon, and all kinds of water sports are on offer. Further inland is the beautiful countryside of the Sierra Espuna mountains, and the historic cities of Murcia and Cartegena are perfect for exploration or shopping.
The La Torre Golf Resort / Polaris World, La Torre area
The large and friendly La Torre Golf Resort is in a peaceful rural location a short distance from the more developed coast and towns. As a consequence, there is an exceptional range of on-site services and facilities for your holiday, including the golf course, bars, restaurants, shops and sports areas. The newly completed Intercontinental hotel brings with it new restaurants, the opportunity for a pamper in a luxurious spa, and an indoor swimming pool (charge applies for non residents). The lakeside town centre itself is built in a Mediterranean style, and is a great place for a relaxing drink, a good meal or a refreshing ice-cream in the summer. It's easily possible to have a fantastic holiday here without leaving the resort at all!
GOLF
The resort is built around the excellent Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole, par 68, golf course, giving the resort a spacious, natural feel. While not the longest course, the three large lakes and numerous bunkers will provide plenty of challenge for all levels of golfer. It is possible to hire golf clubs and other equipment (except shoes) if you don't want the hassle of bringing your own. You can pay for each round as you go, or plan ahead and buy a discounted book of rounds if you intend to play a lot of golf.
The La Torre golf course is one of nine planned golf courses which make up the Nicklaus golf trail in Murcia, four of which are already up and running. Staying at a Polaris World resort entitles you to play golf at the other Polaris World resorts, and there is even a free shuttle bus running between them.
AROUND THE RESORT
There is plenty of choice for a day at the beach with numerous blue flag beaches. Santiago de la Ribera and Los Narejos are the closest and located on the warm, shallow waters of the Mar Menor and only about a 20 minute drive. The whole of the Mar Menor is surrounded by sandy beaches though, not to mention the lovely Mediterranean coast line.
Many of the towns and villages around the resort have seen a lot of investment in tourist facilities in recent years making the area wonderful to explore. Murcia City is around 20-30 minutes drive and has been described as Spain's most historic and beautiful city. The Moorish influence can be seen in the city walls and its cathedral, with its 23 chapels it took four centuries to complete. Cartegena is the provinces second city, and is an ancient coastal town, with a lovely harbour area. Cabo de Palos is a fishing village with a much photographed lighthouse.
The area is not overdeveloped though, and there are plenty of natural sights worth seeking out. On the coast, there are Calblanque's untouched beaches and the salt flats at San Pedro del Pinatar. Inland, the mountain ranges of Sierra de Espuna and Sierra de Carrascoy make for fantastic exploration.

• The apartment is accessible from both Murcia and Alicante airports, offering more options and flexibility on flights, with a number of air operators available.
• Cheap flights are available direct from the majority of the UK’s airports. Airlines include : Easyjet, Jet2, Flybe, Thomson and Ryanair.
• Murcia airport (MJV), is an easy and convenient 20 minute drive from the apartment.
• Alicante is 1 hours drive from the apartment, and being a larger airport, offers flights all year round.
• Car hire is available from many agencies at both airports. Airport transfers can also be arranged, by prior arrangement.
• While we recommend a hire car for the duration of your stay, many of our guests have enjoyed a fantastic holiday without a car, due the apartments' proximity to the large range of facilities on the resort.
• There is a train station at a local town, Balsicas, which is only a few km from the resort.
