About the home
Our spacious apartment benefits from fantastic views across the golf course, which you can appreciate from the large sunny L shaped terrace. The lounge boasts a 32" Flat screen TV, 80 UK satellite channels, PS2 / DVD Player, CD Player and Telephone for incoming calls. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need and more including a juicer, coffee maker, washing machine and dishwasher. Air conditioning is found throughout together with heating (if you should ever need it).
Set on the prestigious La Torre Polaris World Resort, part of the Jack Nicklaus Golf trail, the apartment over looks the 18th tee and 10th green.
The apartment has the flexibility of accomodating up to 6 people as it comprises of 2 bedrooms (one with access to the balcony), both with twin beds, and a very comfortable sofa which doubles as a sofa bed in the lounge. There is also a dining table and 6 chairs. In the bathroom there is both a shower and bath.
The large sunny L shaped terrace has a table and parasol, 4 chairs & 2 sun loungers. Secure underground parking keeps your car nice and cool during the day, and there is lift access direct from the car park to the 2nd floor.
As the apartment overlooks the 18th tee you can stroll along the last hole to the village centre with its many restaurants, bars, supermarket and beauty salon/spa. This is no more than 5 minutes walk away.
The excellent championship golf course includes a driving range and practice area. There is also a free shuttle bus service running throughout the day to all of the other Polaris World resorts, on which you can play.

There is a Playstation 2 and a selection of games for our guests use and we can also arrange the rental of high chairs for our younger visitors at an additional charge. There is a travel cot which can be set up in either room, however please bring your own bedding for this. In the apartment we have also left a brochure which we have put together with lots of useful information e.g. restaurants which we have enjoyed etc.

Our English speaking property management company are on hand to answer any queries you have during your stay.
Long and short term lets are available and mid-week or long-weekend breaks can also be negotiated.
Change over day and times are flexible, however during busy periods, where guests are leaving and others arriving on the same day, checkout will need to be 10am and check in not until 4pm. Therefore please liaise with ourselves or our property manager and we will try to be as accommodating as possible.
Unfortunately, we are now having to charge a £100 security deposit to cover breakages. Once our property manager has given us the all clear, e.g. the TV is still there and working and the tables haven't been smashed to pieces, we will return this to you. Glasses and cups do get broken, that won't cost you £100, however if you decide to break the entire dinner service, it will do! Any small items broken, e.g. cups, plates etc can be replaced from the supermarket on site and we would really appreciate this.
Conditions
A cleaning charge of €65 per rental applies and is payable directly to the key holder upon your arrival (this will be slightly increased where more than 4 people occupy the apartment).
For an additional charge extra services include welcome packs and additional cleaning services etc.
All bed linen and towels are provided (excl. beach towels) and the apartment is well stocked with crockery/cutlery. We normally leave cleaning cloths, sprays, dish washer tablets under the kitchen sink so check there before buying anything.
The kitchen cupboards are also normally stocked with things such tea, coffee etc so again maybe check first before buying, however it will depend on who's been in there before you as to whether anything is left / has been replaced.
The interior of the property is strictly no smoking, however you can obviously smoke on the terrace. Please use the ashtrays which can been found under the kitchen sink.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full payment is required upon booking.
Full payment will be due no later than 6 weeks prior to departure, together with the £100 refundable security deposit.
For last minute bookings (under 6 weeks notice) full payment will be required upon booking with the additional £100 refundable security deposit.
The methods of payment accepted are cheque or bank transfer.

The Murcia region


With an average daily temperature of 21º, the Murcia area of Spain offers a lovely climate for year round holidays - long, hot summers for traditional family holidays, warm autumn and spring seasons (perfect for golf) and mild winters, ideal to get away from the colder climates of northern Europe.
The region is an unspoilt area of Spain, relatively new to tourism, but with the advantage of the La Manga holiday desintations and facilities close by and the traditional tourist attractions and theme parks of the Benidorm area around an hour's drive away.
Murcia is a vibrant cosmopolitan city with wonderful architecture, only 20 minutes drive from La Torre. There is a stunning cathedral with year-round exhibitions, wonderful shops and tapas bars. In the other direction, only 15 minutes drive away from the resort, are the glorious sandy beaches of the Mar Menor and La Manga.
The beautiful Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a strip of sand 22km long, which forms a barrier and has created a shallow, warm lagoon, perfect for children. In high season, at Los Alcazares only 15 minutes away by car, inflatable climbing walls and trampolenes can be found to keep children of all ages amused.
In total there are over 44km of beaches with protected bays and coves on the sides of the Mar Menor. The absence of tides make it an excellent location for all types of water sports. The concentration of salt and iodine in the water is also reputed to be beneficial to sufferers of rheumatism and skin complaints.
The port of Cartegena is also well worth a visit; as is the quiet fishing village of Cabo De Palos with its many fish and seafood restaurants.
The La Torre Golf Resort / Polaris World, La Torre area
La Torre is one of several luxury resorts in the Polaris World network all within 20 minutes of each other and with a free shuttle bus service between them. Although it is based around a golf course it is a resort for all and many people choose to live here because of the excellent lifestyle and climate.
Services at the resort include a large supermarket, bars, restaurants, hair & beauty salon, healthcare centre, shops, a travel agency offering excursions to the region’s attractions, tennis, numerous communal pools, several children's playing areas and of course, golf! The club house offers live music, shows and events such as quiz nights etc.
As guests at the La Torre resort, our clients would enjoy access to all the Polaris World golf courses on the Jack Nicklaus Trail.

The resort is easily accessible from either Murcia (San Javier) airport which takes around 20 minutes or Alicante airport which takes 50 minutes by car.
San Javier (Murcia) airport is only 15km away. Many UK airlines, including low cost carriers, now fly to San Javier. The best website we have found for flight comparisons / bookings is www.skyscanner.net. A car is recommended and the best deals we have found are from www.economycarrentals.com.
To Drive to La Torre from Murcia airport:
Take 2nd exit at roundabout and continue towards AP-7 Alicante.
Take exit 782 signposted Balsicas/Murcia - C3119.
After approximately 15km (10 minutes) take the exit for Sucina (E)/El Garruchal which is after the windmill on the right hand side.
Drive over the bridge and take the road marked Urbanizacion.
You will then come to the entrance of La Torre on the right hand side.

There are many properties for rent so take your time to find the one for you. We were more than delighted with our choice as it captured the sun from morning until early evening and offered excellent views over the 18th tee. There are many similar looking properties but I don't think there are many frontline properties with a better balcony. It was also a genuine 5 minute stroll to the golf clubhouse and 10 minute stroll to the well stocked supermarket. Do you need a car? Being mobile will give you the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. However, if you are lazing in the sun or golfing during the day then there are plenty English speaking taxi firms who will take you offsite in the evenings. If you want golf on your doorstep, well manicured gardens and grounds, and an ideal location to explore the surrounding areas then La Torre offers it all. During our stay (June 2011) many of the restaurants and bars on the resort were closed, so this initially disappointed us. However, any disappointment was short lived as we soon found out there is much to explore beyond the safety of the resort. |

We had a fantastic holiday in this apartment. It's location on la torre is perfect. Huge balcony perfect for eating outside and watching the golfers tee off at the 18th. Indoors, the apartment has everything you would need.The dishwasher made eating in so much easier on the days we were too relaxed to get changed and eat out.I used the washing machine and it was great to return from holiday with no dirty washing. There were plenty of dishes and glasses and even plastic ones which we used outside. When we arrived, the apartment was spotless and we were shown round by the onsite representative who gave us his mobile number to contact him if we had any problems. This was really a benefit as we have stayed in rentals where there is no representative locally and when things went wrong, had to sort them ourselves and make calls to England. Not so here, Frank was on hand to answer any questions we had. The apartment has aircon in both of the bedrooms and the livingroom and this was great in July when it was very warm. We walked around the resort and couldn't find an apartment in a better location. It was a lovely stroll to the town centre but not too close to be bothered by any noise. Some of the accommodation (not this one) on this resort is quite a distance from the restaurants and supermarket. We also couldnt find an apartment with a better balcony. Because of its L shape, we got the benefit of the sun all day. We spent many an hour sitting out playing games, reading and watching the golfers. The kids loved the TV and PS2 which were useful in the hottest parts of the day. The nearest pool area is very close. There are no loungers by the pool but the owners provide reclining chairs which are no hassle to carry down. Even in the height of summer, the pool is never too busy and my kids had a great time in them. There are two equal sized pools and when we were there, it seemed to work out that the kids were in one and the adults in the other. this was good for people who were there without kids and wanted a quieter swim. The owners of this property are great to deal with. Very helpful and reply to any queries leading up to the holiday promptly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment. In fact, we are breaking a habit of never going to the same place twice and have booked again for next year. |

We stayed in this apartment in October 2011 and it was perfect for our needs. very comfortable, good sized balcony with nice views of the golf course. It can easily accommodate up to 4 people and we would certainly stay here again. if you are looking for a golf break on a lovely quiet resort then this place is perfect. |

With regards your apartment, it has an excellent location within the resort with great views over the golf course. La Torre is an excellent base for exploring the area, lazing by the pool or for 18 holes on a well maintained golf course. The grounds within the complex are well looked after with staff constantly out and about on maintenance duties. The only down side was that some of the amenities on site were not open, but some of the locals explained why this is. However, all in all, we had a great holiday and would certainly consider returning in the future. Once again, thank you for giving us the opportunity to rent your apartment, it ticked all the right boxes.
