A return visit to this well equipped and furnished apartment, set in one of the prime positions the welcoming large balcony has far reaching views of the countryside and golf course where better to enjoy that glass of wine. We ventured further afield this time by using the very reliable and reasonable train service from nearby Balsicas Station to both Murcia and Cartegena - even for us oldies who speak no Spanish it was easy to get around. The facilities of the well stocked supermarket, hotel, town centre and choice of pools are just minutes away making this an excellent spot within the resort. Highly recommended and cant wait for another return visit. |

We had a great time at La Torre. It really suited our needs. With an 11 year daughter we knew that we would need enough entertainment locally, but also have the necessary equipment to eat at home, rather than eat out night, which can be quite costly when you start adding up the Euros. The apartment was well decorated, close to the supermarket (we saw a lot of people driving to the supermarket on the site which can be off-putting), so a quick walk over in the morning provided us with all the provisions we needed for the day. Then it was off to find the pool. I should say pools. There are a number to choose from and all are clean, lively without being boisterous, and pleasant to sit around. We are the type of family that sits out until the sun goes down! A good thing with this apartment is that beds and chairs are provided for the pool and beach, so we didn't have to worry about finding something to sit on. Of an evening we enjoyed eating out on the balcony and while our daughter watched TV or a film, (her choice not ours) we enjoyed a glass of vino as the sun went down. It did feel like a home from home. The owners have catered for you really well. Because it's pretty new, everything is fresh and clean and we picked up our keys from people they employ to keep it clean, so we had fresh bedding and towels and didn't run out of anything that was supplied. They even helped with transport arrangement. The area is really nice and we found a chinese restaurant not far from the complex which was very reasonable, with delicious food. We also hired a car for a few days and went to the beach, which was lovely and provided a nice alternative. Oh yeah and I also diverted to the market and got myself a few, very low priced handbags. There are a couple of bars on the complex with outdoor seating, so having children isn't a problem, and there's an ice-cream parlour to keep the kids amused for a bit while you have a glass of vino overlooking the golf course and lake. All-in-all very nice. We would go there again. |
