The Costa Calida/Murcia region
Murcia is one of the regions with the most sunny days a year, an average annual temperature of 21º C, and 250 km of shoreline along two seas: the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean. It is noted for being a land of contrasts, with mountainous national parks, southern basins with steppe landscapes, and wonderful beaches such as those of La Manga, Mazarrón and Calblanque.Polaris World Beach Club
The Polaris World Beach Club will be based at the end of the La Manga peninsula, with its own beach onto the Mar Menor sea. There will be transport by boat to the beach club and the facilities will include tennis courts, water-sports, changing facilities and a bar/cafe.
In addition to the Beach Club, there are numerous beaches to explore in the region.
Mar Menor Beaches
The ‘Mar Menor’ is one of the largest inland lagoons in Europe, creating miles and miles of beaches in addition to the Mediterranean coast. The Mar Menor is about 12 miles long by 6 miles wide and it is very shallow and calm. It is saltwater and because it is shallow it warms up quickly and in the summer the water is a tropical temperature. The beaches around the Mar Menor have lots of play areas and are perfect for families or for those who want to be close to cafes or shops.
Calblanque Nature Reserve
For those that like to get away from it all, Calblanque is the perfect place. It is a nature reserve with no buildings or development and it has beautiful long sandy beaches. There is a walking trail along the coast, good snorkelling and sometimes it can be good for surfing and boogie boarding too. As there are no bars or restaurants or sun-loungers, a picnic and a parasol are good things to take for a day out.
Bolnuevo and Mazarron
The coastline around Condado de Alhama resort is very beautiful with a wide variety of beaches, from little coves to wide open sandy stretches. The beach at the Port of Mazarron is popular in summer with the Spanish, due to its calm waters and proximity to bars and restaurants along the promenade.
Bol Nuevo is the closest beach to Condado de Alhama. Bol Nuevo is a traditional Spanish fishing village, with a few restaurants and bars and a very large, unspoilt beach. Bol Nuevo also has climbing frames and volleyball nets.
In between Bol Nuevo and Mazarron there are lot of bays to explore, including some with play areas for children, others good for snorkelling and some which are quiet all year round.
La Torre Golf Resort / Polaris World, La Torre area
Murcia's coastline is rich and diverse.Gentle coves and quiet beaches. Dunes, salt flats, and wetlands. The coastline of Murcia Region has a many areas of environmental interest, including several Nature Reserves, where you can still find native flora and fauna such as the Phoenician juniper (Sabina mora), a native tree variety, and the "fartet" (Aphanius iberus), a minute and highly unusual fish, the only one of its kind.Polaris World Golf

The 9 different courses
At the moment there are 3 golf courses already open: La Torre, El Valle and Mar Menor. In addition the course at Hacienda Riquelme will be opening very soon. The Polaris World ‘Jack Nicklaus Golf Trail’
Jack Nicklaus is one of the most distinguished players in history. He was only 16 years old when he won the Ohio Open and he achieved more than 110 victories in his professional career, including, 5 PGA championships, 6 masters, 4 US Open and 3 British Open.
Jack Nicklaus "The Golden Bear", founded Nicklaus Design in 1973 and the company has made 275 golf courses all over the World. Some of the most prestigious courses were developed by him, including, PGA West-Private, The Bear's Club and the PGA National-Championship Course. When you buy at Polaris, the Jack Nicklaus Trail card will give you access to some of the best courses in Spain.
Free Shuttle Buses
The 9 courses that make up the Nicklaus Golf Trail are all within a small radius and there is a free shuttle bus connecting all the courses. So if you don’t feel like driving or you like to have a drink after a round, you can just catch the courtesy bus.
Pro Shop and Driving Ranges
The courses have large, open driving ranges and beautifully maintained practice greens and the pro shop offers coaching year round. The weather in the Costa Calida is perfect for golf, particularly from September through to June.
Golf Prices
There are 3 ways to pay for the golf at Polaris and as an owner you get a discount on all three.
Pay as you Go: Pay the discounted round price. Books of Rounds: Buying a book of rounds makes the golf even better value for money. Golf Debenture: If you live on the resorts or plan to play a lot of golf, buying a 25 year debenture is a good option. The debenture can also be sold on at any time. If you would like to come and see the golf courses for yourself, we run inspection trips to the area, where we can show you the existing resorts and golf courses, as well as the sites of the new courses.
How to get there
FLIGHTS FROM 99 PENCE ! There are many budget airlines which fly to Murcia - San Javier (MJV) and Alicante (ALC). MJV is the closest airport and is only 15 minutes drive away from the apartment. Alicante is about an hours drive away.
Murcia (MJV): Most of the low cost airlines now fly regular flights into Murcia from the UK.
Alicante (ALC): The main airport for the Costa Blanca is roughly 60 minutes drive north of the apartment. Again a lot of the low cost airlines have regular flights to Alicante from the UK.

Further details indoors: The apartment is air conditioned with a modern kitchen. The two bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with plenty of hangers. We've provided an iron and ironing board, towels, linen, clothes dryers, washing machine etc - in other words, hopefully everything you need to have an easy and relaxing holiday.
Please bring your CD's and DVD's. There is a TV and stereo system for you to play them on. You can eat inside or outside as we have a garden. There is an indoor dining table and chairs as well as smart wooden garden furniture if you want to eat there.

One of the main features of this apartment is a lovely garden at the front. This means that if you prefer to sit there rather than at the pool, you have the choice.
People with children find the fact that they can open the doors and let the children play outside in full view is both more relaxing and reassuring. Apartments on other floors do not offer this facility.

We offer an English speaking representative on hand to answer your questions. You can use them to pick you up from the airport or meet you at the resort gates to take you to the property.you would pay them on arrival for this service but advance notice would need to be given for the arrangements to be made.
At the end of your stay they will handle the checkout and cleaning so you dont need to worry. You pay them direct for this service.
We can also arrange for a food essential shop to be done and left in the apartment. This will start you off until you can get to the supermarket on the resort.you would need to pay for this on arrival to the representative.
If there is anything else you would like eg champagne upon arrival, then please let us know and we will do our best to help you. Most things are possible.
A cot can be arranged for a 10 euro fee which would be payable on arrival.advance notice must be given to arrange this prior to arrival.please bring your own cot bedding for this.

Your booking is secured via a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the rental for the period. This is payable on booking.
Full balance is required four weeks prior to your holiday.
A deposit of £200 is required which will be refunded within two weeks of your stay subject to a satisfactory checkout report from our agent locally.
