Ideally situated in a quiet area of the resort,yet with easy access to the Golf Club House and town centre. The apartment is situated on the second floor, with direct access via lift from undergroung garage parking. The apartment will suit a family of 4 or alternatively a group of golfers. La Torre Resort is by far the most 'family friendly' of the Polaris resorts and offers an ideal holiday location for golfers and non-golfers alike. The resort itself is built around the golf course and comprises a town centre with restaurants, bars and shops. The golf course is a challenging Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole, par 68 championship course with an abundance of water and sand which is ideal for golfers of all levels. Green fees are circa 55 euros for residents (85 euros non-reidents) - very reasonable for courses of this standard. You can also play as resident on El Valle and Mar Menor Polaris World courses

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

Visit the amazing inland sea of the Mar Menor for beaches, fishing or watersports. The local coastline also boasts wonderful nature reserves and healing mud baths. The historic cities of Murcia and Cartagena are within 30 minutes drive, as is the La Manga sporting complex. Walking or cycling within the mountains of the National Parks is nearby, and the area contains many unspoilt villages where you can experience the real Spain. The villa is ideally situated for sun-worshippers, beach fanatics, golfers and sportsmen, nature lovers, culture vultures, as well as children and families. The superb climate allows you to take a summer holiday from April through to October or beyond, and there are plenty of winter activities too.

This area of Spain is rich in history, and throughout the year there are colourful fiestas and parades. Real Murcia FC play in La Primera Liga, and the city is also renowned for its fine shopping. Road links are excellent to all the nearby towns and cities, and even Madrid is less than 4 hours by train.

La Torre Golf Resort / Polaris World, La Torre area

La Torre is a self-contained 'gated' resort with Mediterranean-style, whitewashed villas, townhouses and apartments, a 18-hole championship golf course, 12 communal swimming pools, tennis courts, children play-areas, tree-lined avenues and beautifully landscaped gardens. The town centre built around a large lake in the theme of a fishing village, provides shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. A five star hotel and spa complex is soon to complete. All just five minutes walk from the villa. Staff are very friendly and speak good English.
Restaurants & bars

There are various restaurants and bars on this resort. In the clubhouse there is:-

ENCINA RESTAURANT
A superb restaurant offering buffet lunches and a la carte dinners. The restaurant has a lovely terrace with great views across the lake, plus luxurious indoor tables. An ideal venue for lunch and dinner.

PINO´S BAR
Upstairs in the clubhouse there are always good times to be had in Pino’s Bar. With live music and a varied entertainment program. A wide range of drinks and a comfortable atmosphere make it an ideal meeting place.

WOOD HOUSE BAR
After playing a round on the golf course, there is nothing better than having a drink while talking about the best shots of the game. The Wood House offers a good range of drinks and snacks. The Wood House bar offers superb views from the terrace.

An authentic Sports Pub that is ideal for tasting the great variety of excellent beers while watching a football match. There is live music and plasma screens broadcasting sports and leisure.

A bar specialized in Mediterranean tapas where eating is a real pleasure, getting to know in depth this important part of the gastronomy culture in South Spain.

“LA ACACIA” TRATTORIA
The wide menu of this restaurant is based on exclusive Italian products, offering starters, primari and segundi by which the guests will be able to make a gastronomic trip and discover the most emblematic dishes in Italy. Large terraces on the lake provide unbeatable views and a warm atmosphere.

“EL AVELLANO” ICE-CREAM PARLOUR
Offering many different tastes of delicious ice-creams that will be the favourite desert of many of us during the summer.

Shuttle bus

Any guest staying on a Polaris World Resort can use the facilities and services of all the Polaris World resorts, including the golf courses, bars and restaurants. Polaris World operate a shuttle service to take guests between the resorts. This currently runs four times daily but please check this as the service is subject to change as the resorts develop.

How to get there

La Torre Golf Resort is situated 15 mins from San Javier/Murcia (MJV) airport and 60 mins from Alicante. Numerous car hire companies operate from both airports, or taxi transfers can be arranged.
Directions from San Javier airport are:-
Exit the airport, cross the first roundabout, and at 2nd roundabout take 2nd exit for Murcia/Alicante onto AP7 motorway. Leave motorway at Murcia/Balsicas N3319 exit. Travel approximately 10km and you will see La Torre on your left. Take exit for 'Sucina el Garuchal'. Turn left back over the main road via flyover. Turn left then right on roundabouts onto service road signed 'urbanisation' and carry on until entrance for La Torre.

Further details outdoors:
Large communal swimming pool with picturesque landscaped garens with plently of room for sun bathing. The pool is contained within a fenced area for the safety of small children. There are also tennis courts within 200m.

Towels and bed linen are included and a one off arrival clean of will be added a time of booking. A mid stay clean can also be arranged should you require.
Property is to be vacated by 10.00am on day of departure, but every effort will be made to allow clients to stay for as long as possible. This will depend on information given by incoming clients & those departing.
The 'Rental Rate' is to be paid in cash (euros only) on arrival to the key-holder.

Conditions

On changeover day, you may need to vacate the apartment by 10am to allow the cleaners time to prepare for incoming guests. If you want a later leaving time we would offer this at 1/2 day rental price.

A deposit of £150 is required to secure your booking. This deposit will be returned within approx. 14 days after departure, following a 'damage & breakage' check by the key-holders, also if a 'excess clean' is required an amount will be deducted.

Departure cleaning & laundry are not included in the rental cost.

Should you be making your own way to the property there will be a small extra cost for 'Key Handover' (Meet & Greet).

Prices negotiable for long winter breaks.

If you want a later leaving time we would offer this at 1/2 day rental price.

Welcome packs can be arranged at various prices (price on request) - paid in cash on arrival. 'Airport Transfers' can be arranged from both Murcia - 'San Javier' & Alicante airports (price on request) - paid in cash on arrival. 'Maid Service' can be arranged for stays of 14 days & over - at an extra cost.

'Hi: had a wonderful time and the apartment was fantastic. the only improvement you could possibly make would be a couple of fold up loungers or deckchair type seats to fully utilise the pool area ( very good facility.) we thoroughly enjoyed the golf and the meal deal was still on. we played 4 times in all. i think next time we come will be late september or early october as playing golf in that heat was a little sweaty. driving was not a problem as long as you did a little bit of homework beforehand and we bought a costa calida map at eroski. drove into la manga (not as nice as i expected) but murcia was perfect with all its buildings. once again thanks for letting us rent your apartment.'
