The Costa Calida/Murcia region
The Costa Calida or warm coast offers a superb climate, averaging temperatures of 21'C and over 310 days of sunshine. The Mar Menor region is unspoilt by mass tourism and has many local, authentic Spanish towns where "fish and chips" and "the full English breakfast" are not found. Santiago de la Rivera is the nearest seaside town. It sits on the shores of the Mar Menor with its long, safe, sandy beaches and nature reserve. There is a regular ferry service from here to La Manga strip. The cosmopolitan town of Murcia is 30 mins by car. It boasts a beautiful Cathedral and many fashionable shops and restaurants. Near to Murcia is the Sierra Espuna, a mountainous National Park, offering excellent walking and breath-taking views. Cartagena is a lovely old sea port town with a lively harbour area and good shopping and tapas.
La Torre Golf Resort / Polaris World, La Torre area
La Torre Golf Resort is a luxury 5* resort consisting of villas and apartments bulit round the Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole golf course. There are lots of communal pools dotted around the resort which are available to use as well as several children's playgroungs. The town centre is expanding all the time but currently has a sports bar, three restaurants several shops, including a supermarket, a conference centre and the club house.The five star hotel is due to open shortly. La Torre was the second Polaris resort to open and a free shuttle bus is available during the day and evening to transport guests between the three resorts.The nearest resort, El Valle has an 18 hole golf course which guests can use and the first Polaris resort, Mar Menor has a well established 9 hole course.
How to get there
San Javier is the nearest airport, approx 20 mins from the resort. Alicante is 55mins. Information on exact location and car hire can be discussed with the owners.

Further details indoors: The interior is thoughtfully furnished with many extras. There is a large flat screen TV inthe lounge with all UK channels, Sky Sports and Movies. A DVD/Video and a PS2 are provided, together with several games and DVDs. The kitchen is equipped to a very high standard with everything you need for easy self catering, including a large fridge/freezer, a grilling machine and electric juicer. The utility room has an automatic washer/dryer and a combi boiler for instant hot water and heating. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en suite shower room. A combination safe is located in the wardrobe for added security. The second bedroom has twin beds and a DVD/Video. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes with loads of coat hangers, a hair dryer and excellent storage. The villa has air conditioning in all rooms and is fully centrally heated.
Further details outdoors: The villa is one of the very few on the resort to have a heated pool and jacuzzi - a must if you want to swim between the months of Oct to May. The garden is completely screened with sun loungers and a patio area with a large dining table and 6 chairs. An electric BBQ is available for safe, easy outdoor entertaining. Upstairs the large solarium catches the sun most of the day. There are four bicycles available on request - as the resort is quite large and flat this is a great way to get about. The resort is bult around an 18 hole golf course with an excellent reputation amongst golfers. The club house has a beautiful bar and restaurant, which overlook the driving range, and very well equipper golf shop.

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Saturday and Sunday nights

A returnable deposit of £200 is required to secure your booking. This will be sent back within 21 days of your return provided all keys are returned and the inventory check is complete.
The full rental amount is due 8 weeks prior to departure.
The changeover fee of 60 Euros is payable locally. Mid stay clean can be arranged at a small extra cost.
Pool heating is available at an optional, additional cost of £60 per week.

Just wanted to say thank you for letting my family use your lovely Spanish home. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and the villa was perfect.
