About the home

The home is decorated in a contemporary design with lovely pictures, ornaments and curtains throughout.

It has a HUGE COSY sofa, plasma television, WIFI, cable, dvd, ipod docking station, dining for four (inside) with aircon and central heating in all rooms.

The extended open plan kitchen is fitted with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer and loads of cutlery and cooking utensils.

There are two very comfortable bedrooms with fitted wardrobes and TWO BATHROOMS (one en suite). The master bedroom is spacious with a LARGE veranda overlooking the golf course and 14th T. There are 4 sun loungers and outside dining for 6 people.

Within a short walk you'll find the communal pool, tennis courts, restaurants, bars, club house, supermarket and all the resorts facilities..

The Murcia region

Beaches

Los Alcazares on the Mar Menor has some of the finest beaches on the Costa Calida. The local promenade has numerous bars, cafes and restaurants selling local delicacies. A short walk inland and you are in Los Alcazares town centre.

San Pedro Del Pinatar beaches are also on the Mar Menor with wide promenades, children's play areas, local bars and cafes.

Santiago De La Ribera has a newly refurbished promenade leading onto sandy beaches with more cafes and restaurants to relax in. You can also enjoy a ferry trip across the Mar Menor to La Manga.

Torre De La Horadada has smaller more private coves offering seclusion and clear waters. Cafes and bars are never too far away should you need them.

Shopping

Murcia, the capital of the region, is rich in culture and Spanish history. There is a superb cathedral and a several museums including the Archaeological Museum, Fine Arts Museum or the Salzillo Museum. There are also high street shops, department stores and near the cathedral, small lanes with little shops and boutiques.

Murcia also has the Neuva Condiminium Shopping Centre – an indoor shopping mall with Spanish and UK high street brands. The Thader Shopping Centre – is a more Mediterranean style shopping centre offering a huge Eroski Supermarket, a cinema, a bowling alley and a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Opposite is an Ikea Superstore.

The La Torre Golf Resort area

The Resort

Polaris World’s La Torre Golf & Spa Resort is located on the Costa Calida near Murcia in sunny South East Spain.

This brand new resort is a short drive from the Mediterranean beaches and is one of five Polaris World Resorts in the Murcia area. Ideally located, San Javier Airport is only a 15 minutes drive and approximately 45 minutes to Alicante.

La Torre is the ideal location for year round holidays with average temperatures of 21c.

Access to the resort is through a secure gated entrance lined with palm trees. Once inside the resort there are landscaped grounds, fountains and lavish planting throughout creating a relaxing Mediterranean environment.


Restaurant & Bars

La Torre Resort Clubhouse is located in the centre of the resort. Here you will find Pino’s Bar and the Wood House Bar with additional seating outside on the terraces overlooking the grounds and golf course.

La Encina Restaurant offers a superb choice of cuisine. The town centre near the club house has a further selection of bars/restaurants all on the Resort.

Jaipur Palace Indian Restaurant 5 minutes from La Torre (well recommended). Takeaways are available.

Los Alcazares has a number of restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines & local Spanish food.

NEWLY completed Five-star Intercontinental Hotel & Spa Centre, provides a wide variety of additional bars and restaurants.

Swimming Pools & Sports facilities

Large luxury pools are located throughout the resort. The nearest pool to the villa is just a 5 minute walk away.

Golf

18 hole Jack Nicklaus Designed Course. A Par 68, 5350 metre course offering great golf for all. The minimum handicap for men is 28 and 36 for women. It has three lakes and five hectares of bunkers. The golf course will form part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail linking up with the six other Polarisworld Resorts once they are completed.

Driving Range A great practise range with a bustling clubhouse and golf pro shop

Tennis courts Two courts are within a 5 minute walk from the villa. The courts are available to all.

Supermarket

Providing a comprehensive range of foods, drinks and household items (reasonably priced) with everything you will need for your stay. Inside you will find a café serving drinks and light snacks.


Health & Care Centre

Opposite the Supermarket is a grand perfume counter with a wide range of fragrances, aftershaves, cosmetic and healthcare products.

Getting to the resort could not be any easier with two airports nearby.

The nearest airport is San Javier (Murcia) which is approx 15 minutess drive by car. This airport is served by many popular low cost airlines including Iberia, Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2, Monarch and Flybe.

Alicante Airport is approximately 45 minutes drive away, also served by the above operators.

Car hire is made very easy with collection desks based in the arrivals halls of the airport and there is plenty of choice.

“2 Weeks of Sheer Bliss - No More Apartments For Me Again!!” This was our third trip to Le Torre in as many years, but our first in a townhouse we had always had apartments previously. I hadn't originally planned for a house this year, but as our original apartment was booked so seemed a good alternative. Wasn't too sure about the location of the house in the resort as it is very quite - but once you experience the tranquility, it is sheer heaven. Upon arrival Christine was very helpful, especially with regards to some different beaches etc that we hadn't tried before and updated us on any resort changes from the previous years. The house is like the photos, very clean and functional, a great base for any holiday and a fantastic view of the 14th tee. We were part a big group who had other accommodation within the resort, but we always migrated back to No.35 - perfect for 4 or 8 and a BBQ to 'die for'. Soon worked out in true Spaniard style that an open front door and back patio door creates a cool refreshing breeze when sitting out on the lower terrace. There was very little that was not provided and Christine remained un- disturbed for the holiday duration. Hopefully Christine has reported back that we have behaved ourselves and Russell will let us come back again soon.

“Excellent” Just returned from our stay at "Chanquette" . The accommodation was excellent and have recommended the town house to family and friends. When we arrived we were met by Christine who we found to be very helpful throughout our stay and who provided us with milk and water on arrival which we really appreciated!!.
