Relax in style in this luxury townhouse situated overlooking one of the resorts fabulous communal pools. This spacious townhouse has all the amenities available for an enjoyable relaxing holiday. Wake up to glorious sun and enjoy your breakfast on one of the two terraces. The ground floor covered terrace is furnished with a table and chairs to enjoy alfresco dining. You can also go for a cycle ride around the resort on one of the four bikes that are available. There is also the use of two full sets of golf clubs and four deck chairs to take to the pool.

At the end of a day's activities - whether that be a swim at the pool, which is directly opposite, a game of tennis, a round of golf or a trip outside the resort to the beach or one of the many places to visit; why not sit on the first floor terrace with a glass of wine before dining on one of the terraces or wandering to the Town Centre for a nice meal in one of the many restaurants.This spacious townhouse has all the amenities available for an enjoyable relaxing holiday.

On the ground floor is the main entrance area, the twin bedroom has fitted wardrobes, a bathroom (with shower), kitchen and lounge/dining room with many modern appliances including TV & DVD player, radio, satellite TV from many different European countries and full modern kitchen & dining facilities. The large terrace accessible from the lounge, overlooks a large communal pool and tennis courts. Outside lighting and dining patio furniture creates a relaxing environment during the evenings.

On the first floor the double bedroom has patio doors leading directly onto the large balcony patio with extensive views of the mountains. The patio is furnished with sun loungers and a sun umbrella is avaialble for shade. Outside lighting also enables the balcony to be used into the evening. In the bedroom there is a large wardrobe providing plenty of storage, air conditioning and digital TV . The main en-suite bathroom is fitted to a high standard and includes a bath and shower.

Beach towels are also available for guests to use.

Good size lounge with 2 seater and 3 seater sofa, dining table and chairs.

TV with digital channels and a selection of DVDs and CD’s for a relaxing night in. The telephone enables internal calls to be made within the Resort.

Patio furniture and sun loungers are provided enabling dining on the ground floor patio and sunbathing on the 1st floor balcony terrace with great views.

The Murcia region

The townhouse is located in Murcia, Southern Spain along the Costa Calida. The Murcia region enjoys fantastic weather all year round with over 310 days of sunshine a year. With mild temperatures in the winter months and warm summer days La Torre Golf Resort is the ideal location for a golf holiday all year round with average temperatures of 21c.

The location of La Torre Golf Resort is superb for family and golf holidays. It is just minutes away from miles of safe sandy beaches of the warm Mar Menor waters. The closest beaches just 20 minutes away are in Los Alcazares, which have won the Q awards in 2005 for their high standards. Los Alcazares has many local amenities. San Pedro Del Pinatar, Santiago De La Ribera also have lovely beaches. Torre De La Horadada has smaller more private coves offering seclusion and clear waters. You can also enjoy a ferry trip across the Mar Menor to La Manga.

The resort is close to two cities, Murcia the capital of the region and the port of Cartagena. At both you will find many places of interest to see, visit and experience Spanish city life. In Murcia there is a superb cathedral and a several museums including the Archaeological Museum, Fine Arts Museum or the Salzillo Museum. Near the cathedral there are small lanes with little shops and boutiques.

There is plenty for the children too! Terra Mitica- a classic theme park experience giving a fun day out for all the family. Aqualandia: a great water-park. Or Terra Natura where you can see how animals live in their natural habitat and discover the people and places of each region. See shows and entertainers and have fun in the aqua park which is open in the summer.

Horse Riding, Quad Biking and Go Karting are available . Within one hour drive, escape into the Sierra De Espuna National Park with it’s beautiful forest walks and outdoor activities.

The La Torre Golf Resort area

This new resort is minutes from the Mediterranean beaches and is one of five Polaris World Resorts in the Murcia area. Ideally located, San Javier Airport ( Murcia Airport ) is just 15 minutes drive and only 45 minutes to Alicante airport. Access to the resort is through a secure gated entrance lined with palm trees. Once inside the resort there are landscaped grounds, fountains and lavish planting throughout creating a relaxing Mediterranean environment.

There are plenty of restaurant & bars in the area- La Torre Resort Clubhouse is located in the centre of the resort. The town centre near the club house has a further selection of bars/restaurants all on the Resort.
Jaipur Palace Indian Restaurant 5 minutes from La Torre (well recommended), together with other bars and restaurants. Los Alcazares also has a number of restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines & local Spanish food. If you don't want to eat out every night then there is a supermarket nearby catering for all your needs.

The area is also well catered for swimming pools & sports facilities. Large luxury pools are located throughout the resort and are open for use by all residents and visitors.

Golf is of course on tap! There is an 18 hole Jack Nicklaus Designed Course. It has three lakes and five hectares of bunkers!! The golf course will form part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail linking up with the six other Polarisworld Resorts once they are completed. There is also a great practice range with a bustling clubhouse and golf pro shop.

If golf isn't your thing then don't worry- there are two tennis courts next to the villa and swimming pool.

“A perfect relaxing holiday!” This has been our 4th trip to Murcia and I can guarantee Casa Gatenby is in the perfect location on this fantastic 5 Star, La Torre Golf Resort. The house is extremely well cared for, clean and directly overlooking the main pool and tennis courts. The town centre is only a 10 minute walk from the property for those dining out in the evenings. During our stay the British TV channels were a god send as we watched most the Olympics without a problem. It is also worth noting that 2012 was the hottest summer for many years in Murcia, which was not a problem as the property has airconditioning in both the bedrooms and the lounge, which is not the case with all La Torre properties. Kim, the property owner, could not have been more helpful, always available to answer any questions via Email or telephone, despite travelling across Europe at the time of our stay. My Family and I love staying at this resort and will stay at Casa Gatenby again, if it hasn't been booked! We happily recommend this accommodation to anyone, especially those with children wishing to be close to the action.

“Nice villa and holiday.” Overall we had a nice stay at this Villa, it was clean and located close to the pool, however, the wifi wasn't working when we arrived and had to wade a day of our holiday waiting about for this to be fixed. The villa is also located on the outer perimeter of the resort right on the main resort road and over looking fields which gave off a traditional farm smell which was sometimes unpleasant. On arriving home we had £20 of our deposit kept, as the BBQ ashes hadn't been disposed of, even though cleaning the villa was included in the price and there was no mention of having to clean it nor were we provided with information on where to put the BBQ ashes. Lovely resort and the weather is excellent just not sure would recommend this property with all the others available.

“Spotless House on a fantastic resort” My wife and i just spent a fabulous week at Casa Gatenby in September. The villa was immaculate with all the home comforts, UK TV, Air-con etc. La Torre resort was immaculate and the swimming pool outside the door was superb. A fantastic place for a quiet and relaxing break! the owners Martin and Kim were very helpful from start to finish and provided information on all aspects of the wider area. the wifi access was fantastic for us iphone users.

“Perfect” Excellent facilities. We hired a car which is a must if you want to explore the different beaches and surrounding areas. The accomodation was excellent. Getting about was no problem. The beaches were excellent for young children. Overall we had a fantastic holiday. We would highly recommend.
