About the home

This new villa is located on the private gated 5-Star Golf & Spa La Torre Resort. Benefiting from enviable frontline golf views it is perfect for golfers or families/couples wanting a relaxing break. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa is furnished to a high standard and benefits from air conditioning in all rooms and central heating throughout for the cooler months.

This is a perfect location for a summer holiday, winter break or All Year Round Golfing.

Comfortable lounge with 3 seater sofa and single armchair, dining table and chairs.
LCD flat screen TV with digital channels. A selection of DVDs and CD’s for a relaxing night in. A selection of games is also provided. The telephone enables internal calls to be made within the Resort. External calls can be received at the villa.

On the ground floor is the main entrance area, the twin bedroom has fitted wardrobes, a bathroom (with bath and shower), kitchen and lounge/dining room with many modern appliances including flat screen TV & DVD player, cable TV from many different European countries and full modern kitchen & dining facilities. The large terrace accessible from the lounge, backs onto the 13th fairway of the golf course. Outside lighting and dining patio furniture creates a relaxing environment during the evenings.

On the first floor the double bedroom has patio doors leading directly onto the large balcony patio with views covering of 5 of the back nine holes of the golf course with further views of the mountains. The patio is furnished with sun loungers and a sun umbrella for shade. Outside lighting also enables the balcony to be used into the evening. In the bedroom there is a large wardrobe providing plenty of storage. The main en-suite bathroom is fitted to a high standard and includes a walk in shower.

Patio furniture and sun loungers are provided enabling dining on the ground floor patio and sunbathing on the 1st floor balcony terrace with great private views over the golf course towards the mountains. 4 light weight folding beach chairs are provided for use around the many pools in La Torre. A charcoal Webber BBQ is provided for guests ( please ensure it is cleaned and used on the ground floor on the small stone area next to the hedge )

Parking is on the driveway in front of the house.

The Murcia region

The townhouse is located in Murcia, Southern Spain along the Costa Calida. The Murcia region enjoys fantastic weather all year round with over 310 days of sunshine a year. With mild temperatures in the winter months and warm summer days La Torre Golf Resort is the ideal location for a golf holiday all year round with average temperatures of 21c.

The location of La Torre Golf Resort is superb for family and golf holidays. It is just minutes away from miles of safe sandy beaches of the warm Mar Menor waters. The closest beaches just 20 minutes away are in Los Alcazares, which have won the Q awards in 2005 for their high standards. Los Alcazares has many local amenities. San Pedro Del Pinatar, Santiago De La Ribera also have lovely beaches. Torre De La Horadada has smaller more private coves offering seclusion and clear waters. You can also enjoy a ferry trip across the Mar Menor to La Manga.

The resort is close to two cities, Murcia the capital of the region and the port of Cartagena. At both you will find many places of interest to see, visit and experience Spanish city life. In Murcia there is a superb cathedral and a several museums including the Archaeological Museum, Fine Arts Museum or the Salzillo Museum. There are Near the cathedral there are small lanes with little shops and boutiques.

There is plenty for the children too! Terra Mitica- a classic theme park experience giving a fun day out for all the family. Aqualandia: a great water-park. Or Terra Natura where you can see how animals live in their natural habitat and discover the people and places of each region. See shows and entertainers and have fun in the aqua park which is open in the summer.

Horse Riding, Quad Biking and Go Karting are available ( see map in Casa Maggiori ). Within one hour drive, escape into the Sierra De Espuna National Park with it’s beautiful forest walks and outdoor activities.

The La Torre Golf Resort area

This brand new resort is minutes from the Mediterranean beaches and is one of five Polaris World Resorts in the Murcia area. Ideally located, San Javier Airport ( Murcia Airport ) is just 15 minutes drive and only 45 minutes to Alicante airport. Access to the resort is through a secure gated entrance lined with palm trees. Once inside the resort there are landscaped grounds, fountains and lavish planting throughout creating a relaxing Mediterranean environment.

There are plenty of restaurant & bars in the area- La Torre Resort Clubhouse is located in the centre of the resort. The town centre near the club house has a further selection of bars/restaurants all on the Resort.
Jaipur Palace Indian Restaurant 5 minutes from La Torre (well recommended). Los Alcazares also has a number of restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines & local Spanish food. If you don't want to eat out every night then there is a supermarket nearby catering for all your needs.

The area is also well catered for for swimming pools & sports facilities. Large luxury pools are located throughout the resort and are open for use by all residents and visitors. The nearest pool to the villa is just a 5 minute walk away.

Golf is of course on tap! There is an 18 hole Jack Nicklaus Designed Course. It has three lakes and five hectares of bunkers!! The golf course will form part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail linking up with the six other Polarisworld Resorts once they are completed. There is also a great practice range with a bustling clubhouse and golf pro shop.

If golf isn't you thing then don't worry- there are two tennis courts within a 5 minute walk from the villa.

Getting to the resort could not be any easier with two airports nearby.
The nearest Airport is San Javier (Murcia) approx. 15 minutes away by car. This airport is served by many popular low cost airlines including Iberia, Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2, Monarch and Flybe.
Alicante Airport is approx 45 - 60 minute drive away, also served by the above operators and BA.

Car hire is made very easy with collection desks based in the arrivals halls of the airport and there is plenty of choice.
DIRECTIONS TO LA TORRE GOLF RESORT
FROM SAN JAVIER (MURCIA AIRPORT)
Exit (Salidas) airport and follow signs for Alicante + San Javier (AP7)
Stay on AP7 until you see sign for MURCIA (C3319)
Exit 782 (C3319) signposted Murcia/Balsicas/Pozo Aledo
Keep following signs for Balsicas/Murcia (C3319) until you are on motorway
Continue down motorway,after approx 8 mins you will pass Polaris World Head Office (Parque Empresarial) on left
Shortly after this you will see white buildings of La Torre in the distance, keep on motorway and you will drive past La Torre on left.
You will then see a blue and white sign showing a bridge going over road,take the turn signposted Sucina/El Garruchal and use that bridge to cross over motorway
Once over the bridge follow signs for Urbanizacion which will take you into La Torre on the road running parallel to the motorway.
Enter into resort via Gatehouse who will record car number plate on entry.

FROM ALICANTE AIRPORT
Follow signs for Murcia and join the A7
At junction 724 of A7 join the AP7 following signs to Cartagena/Torrevieja
Follow the AP7 (2 tolls costing 2.85 euros each) until you see a sign for C3319 Murcia/Balsicas
Take this turning and follow signs to Murcia/Balsicas until on motorway,then take directions as above.

“Lovely relaxing week in excellent accommodation” We wanted an uncomplicated holiday with sunshine, and we weren't disappointed. Very glad we hired a car, it would have been very difficult without. It took a while to get used to the complex - kept getting lost at first because it all looks the same but fine once we got our bearings! The house is lovely. Clean and comfortable and we loved having the ground floor patio for breakfast and lunch and the terrace on the first floor was great in the evening. We would have liked more brochures/information about the area but that is a small detail!

Hi David, We have just returned from your town house and I must say we have had the most fantastic time, The sun terrace was just perfect, the house was just so homely and comfortable, although its a fair hike from the centre, the position more than made up for it, sun all day just as you said in the advert.
Frank was lovely as well. Would love to return one day.

Lovely location and the house is so comfortable. Upstairs Patio just right for an evening cocktail while the sun sets. Kids loved the pool and tennis courts naerby. Thanks Linda, John and kids
We thought Casa Maggiori was fabulous, and a great place to stay.


The house is very comfortable and has a fabulous layout, the terrace off the main bedroom is huge, and overlooking the 13th green is a great asset in this house. All the furnishings are modern, and the appliances too, which is a bonus as my usual stay in Murcia is getting a bit dated. I cant fault the house as a base for a fantastic holiday, its almost home from home, and I really thought it was great that people that had stayed before had left a few items that we used, you know the stuff that you would forget at the supermarket, like cooking oil, washing powder, kitchen cleaner etc, a really nice touch.


The resort is lovely too, with some nice restaurants to go to of an evening, very clean and tidy all round, a good supermarket on site, a choice of pools, and a superb golf course that is not over crowded like the one at La Manga Club Resort, oh, and least we forget the weather! Of all the places I have been to in the world, Murcia has the best climate, never too cold or too hot usually between 24-34 oC, no problem with humidity, and I think it has only rained for 20 mins in my last 5 visits to the place.


I would highly recommend Casa Maggiori to anyone that is looking for a stay in Murcia, its location is is ideal for trips to Murcia City, Cartegenia or La Manga which are all within 30 mins drive, and it is only 15 mins from the airport. The house and the resort are as good as anything I have been too costing over twice the price as well.
