Frontline 2nd floor luxury apartment overlooking the 4th fairway with panoramic views of the golf course, lakes and distant mountains beyond. The fabulous large communal pool (complete with child friendly splash/paddling pool) is only 50 metres away. Furnished to a high standard, the apartment has one double bedroom & a twin bedroom with built-in wardrobes. The air-conditioned living room has two spacious leather sofas for relaxing in front of the TV and a dining area too. The kitchen is fully equipped including hob, oven, fridge-freezer and washing machine. There is a large solarium/terrace ideal for sunbathing, relaxing or eating al-fresco. There is also a designated parking bay for each apartment. In the winter months, the apartment benefits from full central heating so you’ll be able to warm up if required!

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
La Torre is located in the Valle de Sol (Valley of the Sun), which makes it exceptionally warm and dry all year round. The location is ideal for golfers and is within 15 minutes of other Polaris World Resort courses as well as La Serena and Roda Golf Resorts. Alternatively, the better known courses in the Costa Blanca such as Campoamor, Las Ramblas, La Finca and Villamartin can easily be reached. The world famous La Manga Club is only 25 mins away to the south.
La Torre is an outstanding, new, 5* Florida-style resort situated in Murcia on the Costa Calida - a place of great natural beauty with lush landscapes, breathtaking mountain views, fertile vineyards and outstanding beaches. The area enjoys an enviable climate with over 320 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of 21 degrees, perfect for summer and winter holidays for everyone.
Costa Calida (the warm coast) is situated between Costa Blanca and Costa de Almeria and is steeped in history. There are an abundance of local markets, castles, monuments, tapas bars and shops as well as a coastline loaded with long sandy beaches, secluded bays and marinas. The cathedral in Murcia is well worth a visit.
Los Alcazares beach and marina are just 15 minutes away, as is the popular lagoon of the Mar Menor. The larger, white sandy beaches in the region can be found slightly further up the coast between Torrevieja and Alicante. This is one of the most fertile regions of Spain, producing some of the finest fruit and vegetables in Europe, a fact that is reflected in the exquisite cuisine.
The beautiful Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a strip of sand 22km long, which forms a barrier and has created a shallow, warm lagoon. There are over 44km of beaches with protected bays and coves on the sides of the Mar Menor and the water is no more than 7m at its deepest point; this and the absence of tides make the Mar Menor an excellent location for all types of water sports as well as an ideal place for children. The Mar Menor’s waters warm up early in the spring and stay at a fairly consistent temperature throughout the season. The concentration of salt and iodine in the water of the lagoon is reputed to be beneficial to sufferers of rheumatism and skin complaints.
La Torre Golf Resort area
La Torre is just 20 minutes drive from the capital city of Murcia, with its historic Cathedral, and 15 minutes to the Mar Menor coastline.
More locally are the small towns of Roldan and Balsicas.
Although there is a well-stocked supermarket just one minute away, the nearest shopping centre is situated just north of the airport at San Javier. Dos Mares has a very large supermarket and a food court, together with various clothes shops, a cinema and ten-pin bowling alley.
The coastline is varied with lovely beaches and ragged cliffs. The Mar Menor is a shallow sea water lagoon, which makes it very safe for children and provides excellent water sports, including windsurfing and sailing. The port of Cartagena is well worth a visit; as is the quiet fishing village of Cabo de Palos with many fish and seafood restaurants.
For people willing to travel further away, the slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains can be reached by motorway in 2.5 hours. Also Terra Mitica, one of Spain's largest theme parks, which provides excitement and fun for all the family, especially the young and young at heart, is approximately 1.5 hours drive, with Aqualandia (water park) and Mundomar (exotic marine park) just a little further along the coast.
There are many interesting towns and villages to visit in the region including:
CARTAGENA - The capital of the region founded by the Carthargenians in 227 BC - Hannibal’s capital city on the Iberian Peninsula. The narrow streets of the old town were built around the ruined 13th century cathedral and there are several sites of historical interest including the remains of the Roman road, an old Roman theatre, and an ancient lighthouse of Moorish origins.
SAN PEDRO DEL PINATAR where there is a nature reserve on the salt flats, one of the prime areas of ecological importance in Murcia. Migratory flamingos make their way to Africa via this spot each September (also spotted in May); an excellent location for watching a variety of migratory birds. There is a marina and a promenade to walk alongside the long sandy beach, and a weekly market to shop for local produce (Monday).
BEACHES: There are beautiful sandy beaches all along the Mar Menor from San Pedro del Pinatar to Santiago de la Ribera to Los Alcazares with its mile long promenade, marina, excellent shops, restaurants and bars, and a new shopping mall complete with cinema. Each October, the town celebrates its municipal independence, granted in 1983, with a spectacular week long fiesta.
Just a short drive from the apartment you can discover the cultural heritage of the region or spend time on one of the many Blue Flag beaches or enjoying water sports on the Mar Menor Sea. The near by La Manga Strip is a narrow strip of land which is over 22 kilometres long with beaches fronting both the Med and the crystal clear saltwater lagoon of the Mar Menor. Cartegena is just 20 kilometres away and is an ancient port with ruins of a Roman theatre and there are several museums. For golf enthusiasts the Costa Calida region offers many golf courses including the world famous La Manga Club, Hacienda Del Alamo, Las Ramblas, Villamartin and many more.
How to get there
The Polaris La Torre Golf resort is only 15 minutes from Murcia (San Javier) airport and 50 minutes from Alicante airport. Both airports offer regular flights on low cost airlines from numerous locations in the UK and Europe e.g. Ryanair.com, Easyjet.com, Flybe.com, Monarch.com, XL.com. Car hire is recommended via Carjet.com - a good selection of vehicles and the cheapest on the web.

This apartment is one of two properties which are adjacent to each other - both are available to rent and would be ideal if two families want to holiday together or for larger golfing parties.

The apartment is strictly non-smoking inside but you can smoke on the terrace if you wish. When playing golf at La Torre & other courses, you will need to show a handicap certificate or they may refuse to let you play! A welcome pack can be provided - price on request. Wheelchair access is via two lifts which travel from the basement (parking area) to each floor. Shuttle bus available to access the other resorts in Polaris World - full details in the La Torre Club House.

Changeover day flexible. Discount available for bookings of three weeks or more. All inclusive rates - no hidden extras to pay! £150.00 security deposit required in case of damage - refunded within 4 weeks of your departure - providing there is no damage!
