Completed in December 2007, this superbly finished quality ground floor air conditioned apartment with its own parking space and video entry system is able to accommodate 6 people in 2 twin bedrooms and a sofa bed located in the lounge.

There is a large terrace with furniture for outside dining. The swimming pool and children's play area are located immediately in front of our terrace making it ideal for families with children.

The carefully constructed design of the resort, built around a small valley means that the course can be seen from the apartment.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

South of Alicante and close to The Mar Menor, United Golf Resort La Tercia is situated within the rolling countryside of the Murcia region of Spain and only a 15 minute drive from the regional airport of Murcia San Javier and the coastal resorts and fabulous beaches of the Mar Menor, a 170km square and the largest salt water lagoon in Europe.

The Mar Menor (the Minor Sea), is a 170km square salt water lagoon on the Costa Calida and is the largest salt water lagoon in Europe with a maximum depth of 8m resulting calm water with a temperature never below 18°C. Ideal for water sports enthusiasts, the Man Menor provides an ideal location for Winsurfing, Kite Surfing, Scuba Diving and Sailing with its moderate breezes. There are many water sports centres along the shores of the Mar Menor.

Beaches:
-Los Alcazares – a 15 minute drive from La Tercia to this lively coastal resort on the shores of the Mar Menor
- Santiago de la Ribera – the nearest beach to La Tercia, a popular town beach with shops, bars, restaurant and tapas cafes just yards away from the sand and shallow calm waters of the Mar Menor.
- Lo Pegan – a lovely little corner of the Mar Menor along the coast from Santiago de la Ribera, Lo Pegan is a place where the Spanish families go to relax on the beach, eat out or bathe in the mud of the Mar Menor which is accessed from the narrow causeway which projects out toward the other end of The Strip.
- The Strip – a 40 minute drive from La Tercia or accessible by a 40 minute ferry ride from Santiago de la Ribera, the Strip offers 22km of white beaches on the open sea side. Smaller secluded beaches on the Mar Menor side, some with nice beachside restaurants.

La Tercia area

United Golf Resort La Tercia is the first of at least nine golf courses with 1032 dwellings to be constructed in the South East of Spain by the well regarded and respected constructor Grupo RS, who has been constructing luxury properties in Spain for over 15 years. Eating Out:
Generally, the Spanish eat out much later than we do in the UK. Sunday is family day with many families dressing-up and spending the afternoon eating in their favourite restaurants and strolling along the beach. Tapas bars are everywhere and offer very good value for money. Tapas bars vary from restaurants to cafes to beach side bars. Go where the local eat!

How to get there

There are various care hire companies operating in the local area and from the baggage reclaim hall in the airport offering a full range of vehicles which can be pre booked. Most offer child seats.

Directions (from Murcia San Javier Airport) to La Tercia – 25km/15miles/18minutes
• Exit the airport to the roundabout
• Continue across at the roundabout signposted AP7 to Alicante
• Take the slip road on the right taking you on to the AP7 to Alicante
• As soon as you get onto the AP7, immediately look for the next exit on the right 100 yds later
• Take the next exit off the AP7 signposted to Balsicas/Murcia on the C-3319
• Continue on the C-3319 for approx 10 minutes
• Take the Balsicas/Roldan exit
• Continue across the first roundabout
• At the second roundabout take the 2nd exit to Gae y Truyols
• Take the first right 100 yds after the start of the orange groves.
• Continue through the orange groves for 5 mins to a roundabout.
• Continue over the roundabout to the next roundabout at the gates of UGR La Tercia on your left.
• Continue through the gates up the hill passing the Casa Club (Club House) on the right
• Follow the road round to the right to the roundabout in front of the commercial centre
• Continue over the roundabout passing the tennis court and sports pitches on the right to the next roundabout
• Turn left at the roundabout onto almost doubling back on yourself
• Follow the round to Block 26
• Through the front door of Block 26, the apartment is on the left on the ground floor.

Decathlon stores offer a huge range of sports equipment at extremely reasonable prices. For the sports enthusiast, it’s worth buying an empty bag and stocking up with new kit to take home. Decathlon stores can be found at Parc Mediteraneo on the outskirts of Cartagena and a slightly smaller store in close to Dos Mares in San Javier itself.
