This penthouse apartment is a two bedroom, two bathroom property which sleeps a maximum of 4 people. Both bedrooms are equipped with single beds and bedside tables, the master bedroom has full en-suite facilities including bath and bidet.

The Living/Dining area is furnished with sofa and chair, 32" LCD satellite TV with English channels, DVD player, ipod docking station, traditional table with dining chairs, and a balcony with views over the swimming pool, golf course and onwards towards La Manga. It has a fully equipped kitchen with utility area and washing machine.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

The Costa Calida extends along 250km from the beach of Carolina in Aguilas, a few kilometres from the province of Almeria, to the beach at El Mojon on the boundary with Alicante. This stretch of Murcian coastline is blessed with 315 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of 17 degrees.

The area offers a diverse selection of activities for the visitor including all manner of water sports, hiking, hill-climbing and much more.

Encompassed in the Costa Calida are:

Cartegena with its wealth of archaeological treasures including a recently discovered Roman theatre, many museums and a port who's history spans 3,000 years.

The Mar Menor is the 'world's largest pool' and sits in the south-east of Murcia. It is a shallow lagoon of 170 square km with warm waters and gentle winds. It is known to be one of the best places in Europe to learn water sports.

First the Phoenicians then later the Arab Kings made this 'little sea' their summer retreat. The Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a narrow strip of land only 22km wide, called La Manga del Mar Menor. Its sandy beach and clear waters have made it one of the highest regarded resorts on the Mediterranean. The beaches are complimented by a huge range of hotels, casinos, golf courses and everything a holiday-maker could wish for. A few minutes away is Cabo de Palos, a charming seafront village with a unique 19th century lighthouse and two delightful beaches.

The therapeutic mud baths and thermal springs of Lo Pagan are nearby, at the north end of the Mar Menor.The natural park in the Carrascoy Mountains is nearby and is ideal for walking and hiking. The Spa town of Fortuna is just north of Murcia City.

Los Alcazares

The golden sandy beaches of Los Alcazares have been awarded the coveted blue flag of excellence and the warm water of the Mar Menor makes bathing a delight. There is ample provision of showers, toilets, first aid, rescue services and facilities for the disabled. Within a short distance from the town you can take your pick from the rest of the Costa Calida's 250km of beaches and coves. Around 50km of those are on the Mar Menor itself. The rest are on the Mediterranean. Many beaches offer a range of water sports and other activities whilst others provide secluded tranquillity, some are conservation areas designated as national or regional parks of outstanding natural beauty. Don't worry if you forgot to bring your swimming costume, one or two nearby beaches are designated as naturist beaches!

La Manga and Cabo de Palos

La Manga del Mar Menor is the 22 kilometre long strip of land which separates the Mar Menor from the Mediterranean. Truly situated between two seas, its miles of sandy beaches are a magnet for sun seeking tourists who arrive in droves throughout the summer. La Manga's rows of high-rise hotels and apartment blocks make it easily visible across the Mar Menor from Los-Alcazares. Visitors get to choose between the calm, warm waters of the Mar Menor and the cooler, less placid waters of the Mediterranean.

Watersports centres proliferate on the many Mar Menor beaches, but watch out for bathing warnings on the Mediterranean side where there can be invisible undercurrents. Good food and entertainment can be found all along the strip which also has a plentiful supply of supermarkets and souvenir shops.

Road access to and from La Manga is only possible from the south. The northern end is not connected to the mainland. Cabo de Palos is a small fishing town on the headland near the start of the La Manga strip. Its famed fish restaurants, historic lighthouse and Sunday street market make it well worth a visit.

A few kilometres south of La Manga at Los Belones, lies the La Manga Club, almost a village in it's own right. It offers, amongst other things, a four star hotel, casino, golf courses and other sports installations. The village of Los Belones itself has some interesting shops and restaurants.

La Tercia / La Tercia Golf Resort area

United Golf Resorts La Tercia is situated at the foot of the Sierra de Columbares natural park, and halfway between the shores of the Mediterranean and the cosmopolitan city of Murcia.

The local village of La Tercia is situated nearby the Valle Del Sol, also known as the garden of Europe. The Village offers a wine bar and a small supermarket. Murcia city with its medieval cathedral and shops is 20 minutes away. Tercia Golf is a recently completed golf development, offering spacious living accommodation and also large gardens and pool areas for guests to enjoy. The 9 hole golf course is well designed to suit all handicaps.

There is also on site at present, a sports bar with Tennis Courts, volleyball court and bowling green. The villages of La Tercia and Sucina are nearby and have supermarkets, bars and restaurants.Murcia city with its medieval cathedral and shops is 20 minutes away.

In the opposite direction, a twenty minute drive takes you to the beautiful sandy beaches of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean.

For the Golfers, Peraleja Golf, Hacienda Riquelme, La Torre, Mosa Trajectum and El Valle are all close by. Numerous other courses are within 20/25 minutes drive.

Along with golf, many other activities are available in the area, boat charters,wind surfing/Kitting,sailing and any other water sport are all local.

How to get there

Easily accessible with most budget airlines flying into the two local airports(Murcia & Alicante) including Easyjet, Jet2, Fly Monarch, Thomson Fly, Ryan Air and BMi Baby amongst others.

The complex/resort is only a 15 minute drive from Murcia Airport and less than an hour from Alicante Airport and car hire is available for approximately £10 per day.

There are numerous car hire companies, Goldcar or Auriga we have found to be excellent.

La Tercia Golf Course has been designed by Pepe Gancedo, who has designed many courses throughout Europe and is acclaimed for his limitless playability in his designs. The courses he designs are all
beautiful with a look and feel to them that is uniquely his. La Tercia is no exception. As well as a fantastic course, it boasts an Aquatic Driving Range the only one of its kind in Spain.

Only here, you can for once enjoy seeing your ball drop into the water! There is also a unique practice facility that has an amazing water feature. The first 9 holes are open and ready for play with the further 9 to be completed in 2009.
Pepe's son, Roman, has recently been appointed to oversee the golf here
at La Tercia.

Also on the complex is a sports/fitness/gym centre with tennis and volleyball courts,bowls green,cycling paths and numerous walks. The site boasts its own commercial centre offering a range of services including a variety of restaurants, bars, cafes and various shops for your enjoyment. Despite all these activities on offer, this area is great to just come chill out and relax.

As well as the golf Facilites, the site boasts a bowling green, Tennis Court, Volleyball Court and Five a Side Pitch. Full Indoor Gym Facilities are also provided.
