The 9th century city of Murcia is a short drive with its Cathedral and Tapas Bars.
Offering the hottest weather in Spain, the ‘warm coast’ lives up to its name. The summer lasts from Easter to November, making a great place for an off-season getaway.
The lagoon of Mar Menor offers warm shallow waters, ideal swimming conditions for children. The coast is a must for sports fanatics, with the huge Club La Manga offering three golf courses amongst other facilities.
The village is served by bus and a good rail link is in the next village if you'd like to venture further afield, however, if you enjoy touring, it is well worth hiring a car to be able to fully appreciate the stunning scenery of this area.
The region is well known for its high quality craftwork of clay, wood, wrought iron, silk and decorative pottery.
