A seaside resort on the Atlantic Coast, Châtelaillon-Plage is a small and pleasant town. It is because of its privileged situation that so many people choose to enjoy their summer holiday here. Located approximately 12 km South of La Rochelle and facing the islands of Ré, Aix and Oléron, the seaside resort of Châtelaillon-Plage invites you to come and enjoy it mild Atlantic climate. The quality of its environment and excellent geographical situation make Châtelaillon-Plage the ideal destination from which to discover Charente-Maritime.
How to get there
By plane: The closest airport is La Rochelle, a 20 minute drive to Etoile de Mer. Direct and regular flights: Ryanair (London Stansted / Dublin / Bruxelles in the UK, Charleroi in Belgium) / Flybe (Birmingham / Southampton / Manchester, Glasgow in the UK), Easyjet (Bristol / Gatwick), Jet2 (Leeds Bradfort / Edinburgh), Aer Arann (Cork in Ireland), Airlinair (Lyon / Nice in France) Taxis and buses available from the airport.
By ferry : (you can enjoy a great deal on your ferry travel with 20% savings on vehicle and passenger fares with Brittany Ferries if you book with us) You can sail to St-Malo (3.45 hours to Etoile de Mer) or Caen (4.45 hours to Etoile de Mer) or Cherbourg (5.15 hours to Etoile de Mer) or Calais (6.45 hours to Etoile de Mer)
By road: Assuming you are coming by car from one of the Channel ports or from the Channel Tunnel, you will probably travel via Nantes from which you take the A83 autoroute southwards. Turn off at junction 7 signposted to LA ROCHELLE and follow the N137 / E03 through Marans to the N11 / E601 again following the signs to LA ROCHELLE. Turn right: N137 / E602 towards ROCHEFORT. Keep on this road (N137 La Rochelle Ring Road) turning off on the road signposted CHATELAILLON-PLAGE.

The breakfast bar leads onto the lounge area which includes a sound-system, television and DVD along with a very comfortable high quality sofa bed with matching armchair, decorated to a nautical theme in neutral colours.
A separate central hallway divides the sleeping quarters from the main living space.
A master bedroom: a generous double bed with bedside drawer space and modern lighting. Seating and wardrobe space.
A twin room: 2 generous single beds equipped with reading lights. A central bedside chest of drawer and wardrobe facilities.
A shower room which includes a beautiful Italian style shower tray, a heated tower rail and hanging facilities, with sink and under cupboard storage.
A separate toilet with hand basin.
Further details outdoors: A beautiful walled courtyard garden, not overlooked with a large decked area leading from the main living area equipped with a dining set and cast iron decorative table.

PERSONAL TIP I highly recommend you bring your bicycles with you in order to fully enjoy all surrounding activities.

Our booking runs from 04.00 p.m. on Saturday until 10.00 a.m. the following Saturday. Shorter breaks can be offered (on the basis of two nights minimum) during low and mid season only, depending on availability and subject to a reservation being made 30 days maximum prior to date of arrival. We are also happy to accommodate people (where possible) wishing to stay for a longer period.
- Bed linens, pillow cases and towels are not provided (optional services on request) - NO animals permitted

Conditions
25% deposit is payable on booking. Balance is due 6 weeks before arrival, or if booking is made within 6 weeks, then the full amount will be due. The deposit is calculated on the house rental only and not on any extras you may have requested. Damage deposit of £200 required and due with the balance, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
No smoking in the villa please.
