About the home

200m2 Charming semi-detached stone farm house with rustic period furniture, large living room with 2 fireplaces, woodburning stove, sofa, French door to private terrace.

Also 2 pools, open air jaccuzzi only for adult, and only use in the evening for adult only and on request( the water , sauna for seven people only for adult no children are allowed in this 2 facilities at any time( that french safety regulation) TV, DVD. Plus dining room, bedroom with en suite with French window kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer. Stairs to 4 bedrooms with king size bed, 2 en suite, bathroom with shower & WC. 2 Twin bedrooms, shower & WC. Private terrace, outdoor furniture and BBQ.

On winter let, wood can be supplied for the wood burner on request.(at a cost 26 for wood and 28 for oil)

Internet and faxing facilities available( 20 euros for 1 hrs), we can pick you up also if you want from the airport (at the Km rate), all the gites are availaible for everybody we are open all year round. we also organise party, weekend degustation of wine + food, honeymoon for everybody , we can cater for you for this special time from the begining to the end of your stay (flowers on your bed, special sheets for your special time, food and you can also have your own cook and cleaner for that period if you wish to. For honeymoon ,seminar, party, weekend stay, wedding, birthday parties, costume party, banquet, theme weekend. Nanny can be supplied on request. WEDDING PLANNER AVAILAIBLE(4 months notice, only on reservation)

Le Petit ferret can also be hired in full for special events, parties, seminars, long winter lets available for properties hunters.

“"Rustic"” If you are looking for a modern, clean-line, all mod cons holiday then this place is not for you !. French Rustic it is to the extreme. La Dame Blanch is one of 4 cottages that share the amenities in this Ferrit. Old buildings that have been renovated and look very nice at first glance. Then, on second glance, you realise that the plumbing is terrible, it is not quite clean and the cobwebs are everywhere, you can hear everything as the "ceiling downstairs is the floor upstairs" (you can actually have a conversation lying in bed while someone is making the morning tea !!), not good if you are there with friends or extended family. The pool area has a rustic stone floor around the pool which is harsh on your feet and it all ends up in the pool, which is nowhere near as big as it seems in the pictures. Not a problem you would think until you realise that there could actually be 40 people around the pool on a hot day if all the cottages are all booked. Lots of things needed mending and were not and the general look of the place was unkempt:- grass needed cutting, floors needed sweeping etc etc. The couple who own and run this ferrit are really lovely people who are full of information about the surrounding area and what to see and do, and can also book it for you, What would have been even better is a folder with all the information in so that you could plan your holiday at your leisure, as the ferrit is very remote in a small village with no amenities. The nearest shop was a 10 minute drive away and the beach is definately more that 60km away - double probably and takes at least 1 1/2 hours to get to. Ida is a fantastic cook who laid on a meal for 7 of us - 6 fantastic courses for 25E a head - brilliant, if you stay here then we would definately recommend her cooking. If you love a "rustic, very quiet and simple" holiday away from it all then La Damme Blanch is the one for you Response: Dear Just sow your review and choc by what you wrote as when you arrived at our place exactly at your cottage it was very clean ,all the toilets been bleach by the cleaner,and was check by me , the linen been change and the all house check by the inspection in the morning if it was dirty as you said i don't think that we will be able to rent it, secondly when you left the place was very dirty not as you find it when you book somwhere is normal to live it as you find it,for the grass it was not possible to cut it during the 2 weeks (and the grass iscut every 2 weeks in high season)as the grass was wet wich is not good for the machine and you know that they have been few storm when you was there, for the cobb web they was none when you took the cottage and is the contry when you remove them they can come back in few days and you stay 2 weeks !, the pictures on site show exactly what le petit ferret look like , im desapointed that it was not to your test but we have clients coming to our place for 10 years know and never have this type off comment from them if the cottage was as you describe i don't think they will come back to this cottage years after year sincerely Ida
