About the home

Pretty picturesque thatched cottage, full of character, set in a large grass garden within open countryside, near to the beautiful views over the Vilaine valley.
Entrance hall with tiled floor. Spacious living room with cosy atmosphere, feature ceiling, beamed and pine panelled to apex, exposed stone walls and large open fire surroundedby comfortable armchairs, dining tables and benches. Good sized simple kitchen, small table with wooden chairs and stools, washing machine and microwave. Separate WC. Open-tread wooden stairs to 1st floor galleried landing overlooking living room, Bed 1: double. 1 shower room, Bed 2: 2 singles. Bed 3: double Bath/WC.
NB: upstairs windows are very low.

The Brittany / Morbihan region

Morbihan is part of the current region of Bretagne and is surrounded by the departments of Finistère, Côte-d'Armor, Ille-et-Vilaine, and Loire-Atlantique, and the Atlantic Ocean on the southwest.
The Gulf of Morbihan has many islands: 365 according to legend, but, in reality, between 30 and 40, according to how they are counted. There are also many islets which are too small to be built. Of these islands, all but two are private: l'Île aux Moines and l'Île D'Arz. The others are privately owned, some by movie stars or fashion designers.
