Home description
This beautiful house is set in a peacefull and quiet location, close to the Canal Du Midi but within walking distance of the village centre which provides everything needed for a great holiday in this wonderful area. The house has been beautifully restored and sleeps up to six and is an ideal base for touring the Longdoc area.
Within easy reach is the Medieval town of Carcasson, Narbonne with it's wonderful Mediterranean beaches, Nimes, Montpellier and the Cathare region.
With lots do do for children in the area, Lac de Jouarres (5-10 mins by car) is a large freshwater lake with man made beach and swimming, with restaurant, bar and in the evenings sometimes there are bands playing on the bandstand. There is also another restaurant nearby which is family run – towards Periac past the old supermarket.

LOCAL SWIMMING AND BEACHES – Les Glycines La Redorte
The closest Swimming Pool is at Peyriac which is on the way to Minervois (5-10 Mins by car) (turn right on the main road from the property) This is a large open air pool with small toddlers pool attached and costs in the region of 3-5 Euros.
Lac de Jouarres – 5-10 mins by car (turn left on main road from property towards Olonzac) This is a large freshwater lake with man made beach and swimming, with restaurant, bar and in the evenings sometimes there are bands playing on the bandstand. There is also another restaurant nearby which is family run – towards Periac past the old supermarket.
Narbonne Plage – A clean sandy beach with excellent swimming with restaurants and shops all close at hand – (45 mins by car)
Narbonne Swimming Pool – drive towards Narbonne but take signs towards Perpingnon motorway but before getting onto the motorway, look for MacDonald’s and the swimming pool is opposite. This is quite upmarket withy restaurants and bars. It is a really big swimming pool complex, with 2 pools, a water slide etc indoors and outdoors there are two further pools, toboggans etc price per child about Euros 6. This is about 35 mins drive.
La Redorte area
La Redorte is a small town which is within a few mins walk of the property. Here you will find, boulangerie, butchers x 3, hairdressers, beauty salon, service station, supermarket, newsagents and chemist. La Redorte is a friendly place and is well placed for getting around the local areas - and further afield!!

Further details indoors: On the first floor this property has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and an upstairs sitting room with sofa bed for two and bathroom, with bath and shower over and wc.
Downstairs is an additional shower room with wc etc and washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, sitting room with log fire and additional bedroom with doors onto the garden
Outside there is an area undercover with wooden chairs and table for outdoor dining - in the shade. This property has a wonderful large mature garden, with out door garden furniture for eating and sunbathing, some lovely mature olive, and fig trees to give shade during the day. An newly installed 5m hexagonal plunge pool, a children's swing area and an outdoor table tennis table. There are also 2 adult bycycles available for rental at this property.
Parking for two or three cars within the garden area (off - Lane) A very peaceful area for those requiring a relaxing holiday.
