This beautiful apartment overlooks a stunning courtyard in a restored Batisse which was once the XVIII Century winery of the nearby Chateau. Complete with swimming pool and sauna, the 72m2 duplex apartment combines sumptuous white furnishings with glass, period furniture and original art work to create a luxurious and tranquil air.

The shared swimming pool, with sauna (open mid May – to mid October) is the centre of outdoor living in the summer months and is fully fenced for safety. Pool side furniture is provided for your use.

The luxury apartment sleeps 4 and is situated in the heart of the traditional bustling French village of La Redorte with its fine restaurant, boulangerie, supermarket, butcher, post office, tabac, hairdresser, petrol station and bank. There is even a small beauty salon should you need a massage after a hard day’s sunbathing!

This is the land of the Cathars, of vinyards soaked in the sun, the breath-taking medieval cite of Carcassonne and the beautiful Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site which has featured in many of Rick Stein’s cookery programmes. Steeped in charm and history it weaves its way through La Redorte to reach the Mediterranean Sea. The scenic cycle path which runs along its banks leads to many lovely restaurants.

10 mins away is the beautiful lake at Jouarres, where you can have a quiet day sunbathing with supervised swimming or hire a kayak or pedalo. The fine beaches of the Mediterranean can be reached in 35 mins and there are golf facilities only 30 mins away.

The area is a wine lover’s dream, with free wine tasting in the surrounding vinyards. That, coupled with the rich culture, joie de vivre of the summer fetes held every week throughout August, cycling along the tree lined canal, extensive coastline and fine dining make this holiday ideal for couples, families and friends alike.

• Kitchen with cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine and dish washer.
• Shower room with rain head shower and toilet.
• Spacious open plan living room with sumptuous white furnishings, large glass and wrought iron dining and coffee tables, beautiful hand carved mirror and original art work. Television (with English channels), DVD player with extensive DVD collection and hi-fi system with CDs.

Open staircase leads to:-

Second Floor
• Very large mezzanine floor with double bed, antique Louis XV Armoire and chaise, flat screen television with English channels and DVD player.
• Second bedroom with 2 single beds
• Large double bathroom with corner bath and shower attachment. Toilet and double basin.

Sun loungers, parasols and folding table and 2 chairs for use in the communal areas are provided within the apartment together with a small welcome pack.

Private off-street parking for one car.

Bike hire can be arranged from Le Rivassel in the village or in nearby Homps.

All linens are provided for your use – we just request that guests bring their own poolside/beach towels.

Towels and bed linen are provided. Please bring your own Beach Towels. The holiday price includes servicing of the apartment at the end of your stay.

A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. The final payment is due 8 weeks before commencement of your holiday. We also require a £200 returnable Security deposit.

Reduction in rates available for a couple renting the property (please see prices below) or for those wishing to stay for three weeks.

Cot and chair gate are available for use - please contact the owner should you require these.

The scenic cycle path which runs along its banks leads to many lovely restaurants ranging from our Michelin starred restaurant in Carcassonne through to attractive restaurant courtyards where lunch can be bought for 13 euros.

10 mins away is the beautiful lake at Jouarres, where you can have a quiet day sunbathing with supervised swimming or hire a kayak or pedalo. The fine beaches of the Mediterranean can be reached in 35-40 mins and there are golf facilities about 30 mins away.
For those who enjoy cycling - the tow path along the Canal du Midi is not to be missed and with Homps easily accessible, the rewards of lunch on the canal are very tempting.
The local fetes in the surrounding villages are a summer treat and should you be here for Bastille day, you will not be disappointed by the fabulous firework displays. Throughout August there are free Thursday evening concerts in La Redorte where all the local villagers come together to celebrate the Summer.
Underground Caves, Grottes and Medieval Castles are all within close distance together with Aqualand and Sigean nature reserve for those with small children. This is an outstanding base for exploring from.
