This chalet has 7 bedrooms all with en-suite/private facilities. The chalet can sleep 15 people. This is a Saturday arrival We believe the quality of cooking to be just as important as the skiing experience and so unlike many of our competitors our budget for food and wine for each guest is very generous. We ensure that you will receive fresh quality food of the highest standard.
Every day you will start with a hearty breakfast with a choice of hot croissants, cereal, fresh French bread, jams, porridge, fruit juices, and eggs cooked to your request together with plenty of fresh tea and coffee. Please note that on one day this will be self service due to the chalet hosts day off.
In the afternoon when you return from the slopes you will be greeted by freshly baked cakes and fresh tea, coffee and hot chocolate (one day self service on the chalet hosts day off). Dinner is a delicious 3 course meal with a choice of quality red and white bottled wines. The evening is finished off with coffee and chocolates.
Children’s Meals
As two of our directors have young children we understand that they won’t always want to wait until later for dinner with adults and indeed they won’t always want to eat the same type of food. Thus we offer a high tea for children, if required, at approximately 6pm and like all of our adult meals they will be freshly prepared, of excellent quality and served with juices and soft drinks.

The Alps are both stunning in the winter and the summer. The main activity in the winter is skiing although there are also other activities that can be arranged from bobsleigh through to paragliding. In the summer the area is warm and sunny with plenty of mountain walks and nice villages to discover
La Plagne / Plagne 1800 area
La Plagne/Paradiski
The Vanoise Express is a spectacular double-decker cable car, linking La Plagne and Les Arcs. The result is Paradiski, one of the world’s biggest skiing areas.
The numbers are boggling: all told, there are no less than 242 pistes, 425km, 35 black, 66 red, 129 blue and 12 green, plus 4 snowparks and one halfpipe. They are serviced by 134 lifts, with lower slopes at 1200 metres yielding to the glaciers at 3250 metres; so skiing is assured throughout the season. Quite simply, there’s no excuse to be bored on a Mountain Heaven holiday.
For snowboarders La Plagne is also well-served, with a permanent half pipe in Plagne Bellecote, a snow park in Belle–Plagne and a snowboarding area with sound system in Montchavin/Les Coches and Champagny en Vanoise. For cross country skiers, Plagne Montalbert offers 90km of marked trails including tremendous scenic forest trails and access to several high level routes.
Plagne 1800 is one of the 10 villages that make up La Plagne it is just below La Plagne centre and is surrounded by pine trees.
There are a number of good restaurants including the Mere- Grand which is highly recommend for the chalet hosts night off (pre-booking essential!), Mamma Mia’s and Le Petit Chaperon Rouge are excellent, good value restaurants and in addition there is the Loup Garou and the Loup Blanc. There are three bars including La Mine. For more bars and restaurants there is a free shuttle bus to Plagne Centre that operates until after midnight or you can get a taxi back or even walk!
Being at 1800m Plagne 1800 is snow secure and Plagne 1800 has its own ski school which is highly recommended as many of its staff speak English. In addition there is a health and fitness centre.
How to get there
There are four airports all within easy reach - Geneva, Chambery, Grenoble and Lyon. Many airlines fly to these please contact us for advice. Discounted car hire can be arranged and in addition transfers. There is the mainline stations of Moutiers, Bourg St Maurice and Aime all within 30 minutes of Plagne 1800

Further details indoors: It’s in a prime position in Plagne 1800 being less than 20 metres away from the piste and ski school meeting point together with being central in the village, thus there are no long walks to the piste! The chalet is directly next door to our ski hire shops and so this is a great convenience especially for those with small children as you don’t need to carry your skis anywhere!
As with all of our other catered chalets our food is marvellous and unlike many major tour operators our chalet hosts are mature and experienced in providing a great catered service. The cosy lounge has a TV and we have free WIFI available. The chalet is set over thee levels with a large sun terrace on the first floor. We offer full service of lift passes collection when pre-paid, discounted ski hire etc. Transfers and discounted car hire can be organised.
